@SyvetheShairks I think the point is that their mommies couldn't afford lessons and the kid would have refused them anyway. Come on. This has more balls than a perfectly composed song......
The video was taken from the D.V.D., but the song was not! This is not even the White Stripes. It is a band that Jack was in before the Stripes called the Upholsters.
uuummmm, you're probably right, i like meg on little cream soda, bone broke and another one that you missed is 'you dont know what love is (you just do as youre told)'
I think youre right when i listened to this song again.....I dont think he had the Airline until they recorded White Blood Cells in 01.......all pre 2000 videos I noticed he plays predominantly the Harmony Rocket (with the F cutouts)....
Yeah, I had read that he got when they were recording White Blood Cells, but I don't think that source was correct. The CD insert for De Stijl has a pic of him with the Airline, so I'm not sure if it was used on that album or what.
Be more specific about what guitars he had, because without looking at a website about his equipment I've seen him with all sorts of other guitars in places and with the Raconteurs.
Airline Town and Country in the "Steady as She Goes" Music video in the (basement?).
this wasn't a b-side. there were only three songs on the 'album,' which i think technically would only count as an EP. the songs were "Apple of My Eye," this one, and then "Pain (Gimme Sympathy)."
so beautifully messy, i love the few tracks these guys did

Not comparing it to Jeff Beck or Howlin' Wolf, but on its own, it still sounds a mess. Simply awful.

@josht619 Turn your gain up, smash your fingers with a hammer, strum the strings like you're trying to break them.

This is actually horrible. Ruined the song! I like jack white but WTF?

This song kicks ass man, and I dig all that old blues Howlin' Wolf and all that. But this shit kicks.

I think Jack white is alot like Jimmy Paige.
via Jimmy Paige in The Yarbirds and Led Zeppelin.
And Jack White in The White Stripes and The Raconteurs.
The white stripes is to the Yardbirds as Led Zeppelin is to the Raconteurs.
That's just what I think. Maybe I smoke too much pot.
boardman56 2 years ago 2
LOL
It's Jimmy Page not Paige but I can see your point.
I don't think these bands need to be related to each other so often though.
But the Raconteurs are influenced by Led Zep. They remind me more of The Who though :)

How is the drumming in this song superior to any of Meg's drumming? Case in point: Little Cream Soda.
goncack 4 years ago
I think White Stripes- Bone Broke showcases Meg's best drumming, but Little Cream Soda is another good one.

although those are both good drumming, i cant wait is by far her best drumming, its on white blood cells
