This is pretty stupid actually. While it's a safe thing to do SOMETIMES, doing it almost everytime shows you have no skill. I'm NOT saying David Silva has no skill, so don't make that stupid conclusion.

A really skillful player could stop the ball, suck the defenders (or midfielders) towards him, then do a clever turn and leave them behind. I've seen Iniesta do this very effectively. Even against 2 players.

@UnknownGenius01 Thanks for your feedback! You're right, you shouldn't do this every time. But, a midfielder needs to do this *many* times every game. Kids trying to emulate players like Silva or Iniesta usually try doing clever tricks every time they get the ball, and the point of the video is to help you realize that *most* of your touches each game should be really simple.

Of course, I do plan to look at dribbling and turns in future videos.

@modernplaymakers lol Wow How is that stupid? The fastest way of moving forward is this kind of one touch backpass. Sure you can do tricks to pass defensive players but most of the time, the defenders have to be sucked in, then one can do clever turns and all.  Please ignore that comment.
