George Will would have been 23 in 1964, still a student. Before the 26th Amendment, I don't think he would have been old enough to have voted for Eisenhower.
I can't believe no one knows who this is--its conservative columnist George F. Will who write for Newsweek Magazine and is on the Sunday morning George Stephanopholis talking heads show. He is regarded as a pure conservative, not one of the new-breed Evangelical, right-wing, hate-everyone people.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm finding it hard to confirm that this is Will--his features don't seem the same, and at the time he would've been about 23. Was Will active at this age?
I thought I posted this last time but I don't see it here. I wanted to say that his features don't seem like Will's to me, and to ask if will was active in politics in '64(at which time he'd have been about 23 years old.) Any way of verifying this? He just doesn't look as round-nosed, etc. as Will does. Could be the aging, though.
Do I get this straight? A FOUR MINUTE campaign commercial? Who on earth had time to watch this? I guess you couldn't fast forward thru it on yer TiVo. Good lord, how much times have changed!
Unfortunately the American public bought LBJ's sales-pitch. He continued to cover-up JFK's assassination, he expanded the wart in Vietnam, and he conspired with Israel to sink the USS Liberty which was to be blamed on Egypt in order to perpetuate war with them too! Luckily the heroes on board managed to save the ship and limp into to a port on Malta; though many Americans died as a result of a direct order from this traitor!!!
Today's ADD-addled America wouldn't have the attention span for an ad like that without changing the channel. Today it's gotta be mindless, quick (30 secs or less), nasty, and with as few words as possible.
I think he is William Bogert, the guy who played a frontline host on a Chapelle show sketch about a white supremacist who is black. He looks a lot younger, but the resemblence is there. He has played other various parts in tv and movies.
That is NOT George Will. It is an actor.

Any info on this man? Who is he? Someone famous or just a random Republican? Interesting ad.

LBJ was the dirtiest politician ever to occupy the White House. And they talk of Tricky Dick...

Democrats need to start campaigning like LBJ did in 1964. The man was a brilliant master of psychology.
