I looked through the first 4 minutes and during that time he spent time with his back against the audience about 1 minute and during that time he was talking to the guy behind him. 1/4 is 0.75 which means he could have stood with his back facing the audience the rest of the video without having done it 90% of the time. I then skipped forward a couple of times and then he was always faced the audience.

But it might be true that it was just an 11 min sequence he put together so it was timed with the fireworks.. most the time though those are on triggers with people waiting for a specific queue like putting your finger in the air.

First he turns to CDJ-2000 and USB sticks. The CD players are linked together making it from a USB stick can serve all decks.
You see him bring the faders up and down and the CD player operation, however, all cue points on the computer done in Pioneers "Rekordbox"
. The BPM's and transitions he has mixed hundreds of times, he has NO need for headphones. those days are by with, you only need cans to preview! ONLY!.

If you think its for the money "if he's only in it for the money..then why does he love his fans so much? he does ustream, where he goes on the webcam and interacts with any fan that watches him (usually around 5k people watch)...if he would be in it for the money he wouldnt do that. he loves what he does, and he truly loves his fans! i dont see any other famous people go live on webcams from home on their free time" Deadmau5 is good

Acording to Steve Himself this is the last 11 minutes of session and he had to have it pre-recorded so that there could be fireworks at the end. So he didn't have a whole pre-recorded set!

I looked through the first 4 minutes and during that time he spent time with his back against the audience about 1 minute and during that time he was talking to the guy behind him. 1/4 is 0.75 which means he could have stood with his back facing the audience the rest of the video without having done it 90% of the time. I then skipped forward a couple of times and then he was always faced the audience.

And for the record passion is always a part in any successful entertainment form since it reflects on the performance. Would you rather watch a DJ who despises what he does than a DJ who actually enjoys it? Tell me a "real DJ" I should listen to, chances are I already am. Angello is certainly not the only DJ I listen to and adore...

To be honest, it seems like he has it pre-planed maybe with an SD card, because you can see him transition. He doesn't seem like he's really doing much mixing though, my guess.. lazy set or drunk set.
There are worse DJ's, look at DJ pauly D, saw him live, payed 40 dollars to watch him text message.. he literally had a pre-recorded set, dont think he ever transitioned.

But it might be true that it was just an 11 min sequence he put together so it was timed with the fireworks.. most the time though those are on triggers with people waiting for a specific queue like putting your finger in the air.

Whats the bigdeal? If he mixed the 'playlist' in his hotel room 3 hours before the start or if he mixed it live, I wouldn't care tbh. Hes famous, I would go there just to see him wave his arms, perhaps just because I'm a big fan. But if you compare this to other genres of music, look at Akon for example, 90% lip sync lately.
