@R42Vtrain1029 There actually is an passageway under the tracks between the platforms -- closer to 23rd St. It's probably coated in urine, but it's there.
@dchadwick your right, now that I went there I have seen it... But I dunno if its covered in urine because I couldn't go down there since there WAS no service on the downtown side at the time... lol!
i would have just continued to sit there, just to hear what else she would say... she'd probably keep going all night and eventually give her life story over the loud speaker
I live in Brooklyn, and I would kill to have an MTA worker who actually cares enough to berrate you like she does. At my stop they would just let you rot until 5AM...
Ah, I first saw this youtube on Facebook where it was being gleefully shared. At the time I think it had only 500+ views. Now I see we're at 30,000 +! I am pleased it has gone viral because I watch it constantly and guffaw like mad each time. (Hopefully I am not responsible for the spike in views even if i do watch this a lot...) This video totally captures everything I love about living in NYC...
At least she was being helpful even if she wasn't from Manhattan. And no you can never get on the train on the downtown side if you have a red shirt on
I sort of don´t get it.. can someone explain? Is she announcing this on the speaker system while having them on camera? Why does she say she is from queens and not mnhtn?
because apparently if you're from Queens, it's okay to be unfamiliar with the MTA system (which is in manhattan, another borough next to queens) ....even though she's an MTA worker, and a lot of people from Queens take the train
Alex90ny is right She really cared enough to let people know. Amazingly clear sound! She must have accidentally turned off the voice muffling system that all MTA agents use to make announcements.
That's the most customer engagement I've ever seen from a station agent, and the clearest audio. So sad that the mom from Everybody Love Raymond still needs to work.
The woman is the Dance of Life Dancer, Susan Stone - from St. Louis, U.S.!!

actually you cannot go to the uptown side from that platform. You would need an extra $2.25 to get to the other side :-P.

Just a few questions....
1) Why was she talking about this when shes in Queens?
2) How can she see a guy in a red shirt with a beard thats sitting on a bench? Even if there's cams, shes from Queens.
3) Why did she say she's from Queens; Not Manhattan?
4) Was there a guy in red shirt with a beard?
5) She was saying we needed to go to Queens.. HOW?? THERES NO TRAIN!!!
6) Why was she demanding us to go to Queens? ITS OUT OPINION!!!
