The C pillar is ugly!! The car is definitely distinguishable as a Saab, because it is as ugly as any of the previous generations of saabs. I have driven a Saab - it is a great car as far as driving dynamics go. It is fun in twists and turns, but Saabs have the ugliest exterior designs of all cars. The new company should throw out the design teams, both exterior and interior. The interior sucks too - all that talk about aerospace history is crap. Look at Mercedes, BMW and VW, and learn from them.

He said later that the false air inlets are a stylistic nightmare, and that he would eliminate them from Saab design. I agree, unfortunatly the 2010 9-5 has some, just next to the headlights. It's not too much though...
@lepivert - The Air intakes next to the headlights make up SAAB's iconic 3-port grill. I would think Jason Castriota would be talking about the side vents which don't have a function. They were intended for use however cost vs. gain in performance didn't calculate.
A 300 horsepower turbo v-6 should take the car from 0-60 quicker than 7.5 seconds. Especially for a base price of around $50,000. The CAMRY's v-6 (not turbo charged) takes it to 60 in 6 seconds. I didn't know jets were that slow.
