I really didn't think SMG 2 was all that much better, and I liked the first Mario galaxy. :/ It did have good graphics for a wii game though. I totally want a new Mario Galaxy sequel; it would be quite awesome. I just think it's because IGN isn't thought of as accurate in the first place and I'm sure most people wouldn't think too many games deserve a ten like the Super Mario Galaxy 2 probably does.

I judge graphics based on how clean it is, and how well the art style fits with the gameplay and if it adds to the overall experience. It doesn't matter if it's hd. The second one definitely was a ten.

I just got SMG2, and I have to admit that I am disappointed with it. How is this game getting 10s from everyone? What's with all the hype? It's a great game, sure, but it isn't nearly as refined and polished as the first one. Too much about #2 is underdeveloped, and downright lazy. Environment concepts are inconsistent and weak, levels feel more like obstacle courses than immersive environments, and the soundtrack is ill-fitting at times. And the world map? Just plain lazy. Buy #1, rent #2.

I judge graphics based on how clean it is, and how well the art style fits with the gameplay and if it adds to the overall experience. It doesn't matter if it's hd. The second one definitely was a ten.

I completaly agree Super Mario Galaxy 2 deserves a 10, hell I hope it gets game of the year, but c'mon, you actuallly think SSBB actually deserves a 10 when it has a shitty online play, not enough new characters if you think about, the story mode is way too long and very unbalanced, and its just way too similar to Melee, they could have done more improvements. MGS4 deserves a 10 dude, wheter you like it or not.

I just got SMG2, and I have to admit that I am disappointed with it. How is this game getting 10s from everyone? What's with all the hype? It's a great game, sure, but it isn't nearly as refined and polished as the first one. Too much about #2 is underdeveloped, and downright lazy. Environment concepts are inconsistent and weak, levels feel more like obstacle courses than immersive environments, and the soundtrack is ill-fitting at times. And the world map? Just plain lazy. Buy #1, rent #2.

It's not all about sales, I prefer the PS3 over all three consoles, Wii second, 360 last... And I own all three, I have favourites on all, but PS3 has the majority. Eventually we'll see PS3 pass Xbox, the Xboxes lead is getting millions smaller each year!
