Your opinion, which I don't share is your opinion, so we shall see what we shall see. Sen. Obama as he continues to show is fully capable of demonstrating who he is in a very presidential manner. Otis Moss III also is a well respected and credentialed pastor within theological circles; so your uninformed characterization is just that. Trinity UCC will do just fine evidenced by the increasing support they're receiving and they will continue to not let other people define who they are.

My believe and hope now isthat Oboma was only a member for credentials, and that he doesn't really belive in the statements of Rev W. I am afraid he will get totally blasted in the general because of clips of the Rev and association with this church.

Being respected in "theological circles" is all well and good but please try and imagine how diappointed non-angry-blacks that believed in Obama's message where when all this came to light.

Sen. Obama and his family have been a part of a very progressive, dynamic and successful community of faith that thanks to the mal intentions of some in democractic circles grasping to hold on to power, is becoming a shinning and liberating beacon to AA communities across the country. What you're more likely to see as the truth is exposed are the reactions of many in the AA community from viewing the Clintons through a different lense.

You see at the end of the day its about authenticity.

I remember as a child how these same uninformed middle class folks spoke of Martin and Malcom in similiar terms (of the day). Yet, after they were gone these same folks were the first to claim ownership of them.

As you can tell I'm an Barack Obama supporter, but I'm old enough to realize that his political candicacy should not be at the expense of a pillar of hope and liberation within the black community; which is why he didn't thrown Rev. Wright under the bus.

You sir need to listen to the sermon and not--just merely the pulpit that its delivered from. Your ignorance of the heritage of black preaching, which is rooted in black liberation theology. This is the tradition that Dr. King was born from, Dr. Wright, Rev. Moss III (and his father and grandfather) and many other prominent black preachers. Trinity is celebrating their race and their faith. Barack is being supported by his church despite the ignorant backlash of the past weeks. Just Listen!

We can take a 15-second portrayal of someone who's lived over half a century and cast judgement. Condemn their entire existence from a 15-second synopsis, huh? I agree about the distractions, but who doesn't know the nature of the game by now? That's the way it is; it's a battle for an impact on the minds and actions of UNDECIDED voters. A campaign is about making yourself identifiable to a majority of voters. I am seriously pissed off by this attention-seeking behavior. God's words are not devisive or inflammatory or spoken for the sake of a rise. They are uttered to bring souls to him (of all races). Yes, I've heard the whole sermon.
