  • where is the dislike button?

  • um... i'm pretty sure your bunny has had enough stress from having babies, and now you're just making it more stressed. i really wouldn't wash my rabbit if i were you!

  • MORE DISLIKES THEN LIKES!!!???

People should get their head out of your arses. bunny just had babys gets bath.. im sure outside in the rain its normal habitat it would be more wet then that. fuu discovery channel is more hardcore then this. Anyone who disliked this video.. UR A RETARD.

  • It is seriously amusing to see all those saying 'never bathe bunny it hurts them' or 'If their not dirty and you clean then you'll give them sores' haha! Actual hilarious, you do know bunnys are wild animal and we have this thing called RAIN :O Video is so cute an nice and gentle enough for bunny. (:

  • i'm happy to see your being gentle bathing your bunny especally after watching a vid where a father was just watching his daughter pushing a bunny around in the tub with alot of water and swinging that poor bunny around while calling her names X_X great job for taking care of her ignore gordy237 comment hehe babies will still know her and now they have less chance of catching an infection

  • why disliked this video ? O_O

  • U named ur bunnie Sally?? Cute!

  • It's okay to wash your bunny as long as you don't use soap or anything. Just rinse it with water, it will do no harm.

  • bunnies and cats are the same in certain ways. If you bath cats or bunnies, it can destroy thier fur and make it fall out, as well as sores etc. -.-

  • It may look cute to bathe the bunny, but its totally stupid. It can really eratate them. STOP!

    poor bunny, your abusing it

  • You should never ever bathe a rabbit unless it needs it. Only if it has dirt or other harmful and gross materials on it. Bunnies have very sensitive skin, and if you bathe it when your rabbit is clean, it can cause terrible sores. Also, if you rabbit just had babies it is not smart for you to bathe it because it just went through a lot of birth stress. So to get bathed will just make it more stressed. Soon your bunny will die of worry and stress. Take better care of your dear loving bunny.

  • y'all need to chill I've had rabbits for 15 years and I bathe them monthly sometimes weekly and not a single one has had problems. Rabbits sometimes have to swim in the wild to get places and cool off they aren't water soluble

  • Cant believe you were breeding animals, obviously without any knowledge.... there's enough people in this world breeding animals for the hell of it.

  • I am glad that you are done, your lack of knowledge about rabbits is laughable and now you have told me you raise them, which would suggest that you irresponsibly breed them, adding to the very problem that PETA has to deal with every day, tells me exactly who you are.

You are correct, my credentials do not matter, or should I say they are none of your business, but at least I know that they surpass yours.

Getting back to the point, let rabbits groom themselves as nature intended.

  • its her bunny and it's not illegal so shut up people.. p.s it's not illegal cause it does not harm them.. half of ya'll don't even know what your talking about you just want something to say..

  • only give bunnies a bath if they really need it and you should give them one every 3 month also cover there face and if u blow dry them cover there face dont over feed and it will be all good

  • Don't give bunnies baths, if anything give them a tiny rinse. A bath can very likely be bad for their skin. This is not a hating comment im just letting you know. AND DONT BREED

  • @SadieDawsonTV seriously? very likely? like i said before people that just want something to say.. it is her bunny she can breed it and give it a little bath the bunny is not hurt ,it's not panicking they do this stuff in the wild including breeding..

  • i wouldnt bathe her but sometimes when its hot its nice for them to run around in some cool water

  • bunbun so cute

  • i had this happen to me with my other accout what u should do is delte this video becuase all people are going to do is criticize u

  • @XxBugsBunny101xX I understand but they are doing nothing wrong she ya'll are ok you shouldn't care what these weirdos say.

  • He looks really calm, I have two got them a year ago. I only given then one bath since I got them, I use a damp towel to clean them once in a while especially when they r shedding. :) they really enjoy it!

  • my bunny hates showerss :/

  • she looks ALOT like my pet oreo! and is it true that ts bad for their skin?

  • That's why I wouldn't give my bunnies to children.

  • you guys are stupid if it didnt like the bath it would try to get out.

  • fiest time me and my mom gave my rabbit a bath, he pooped

  • ur not rly suppose 2 bathe bunnies...

  • what the heck are you doing? you are not suppose to bathe a mother when she had her babies ! did you do your reasearch before getting her?

  • Actually the only time you should clean them is when they go to mud!!!

  • I just listened to it with the sound up for the first time and yes, you said that she had JUST had her babies! Where were your parents? What are you doing breeding a rabbit? What a great idea it was to wash off a mothers scent so her babies don't recognise her! You were very lucky if they didn't all die.

Did you know that in 2009 3-4 MILLION pets we killed in shelters in the US alone due to overbreeding and abandonment?

Life isn't all fun and games and animals are not toys!

  • @Gordy237 do you just go around hating on bunny videos all day? this is the third ive seen you hate on. so their bunny dies because they are idiots...not your problem is it?

  • @Gordy237 b dude, water wont wash her scent away, because her hut will have it, where the babies are, she rolls around and there ya go she is mom again. chill the fuck out.

  • @Teachertube10 Your stupid comment shows me the extent of your knowledge and you are not worth conversing with.

  • @Gordy237 how do you just assume the child breed her.. besides rabbits don't have to be "breed" they can do that on there own too if they get out. you can't wash off her scent that's ridiculous, you even still smell like you after a bath, these are animals they have much better smelling senses then people do.. animals will over breed on there own no matter what ,matter fact they would be worse without pet owners to decide when to breed them or not cause they are animals and sex is sex to them..

  • @OurLifeOnFilm4110 but I'm pretty sure even if they were in the wild and on their own breeding, those animals are quit capable of taking care of themselves with out a shelter ,most of the animal in shelters are from people who didn't want their animals anymore ,either dropped them off or kicked them out and allowed them to make more domesticated animals that couldn't take care of themselves very well then they all end up in a shelter in hopes they would be adopted so someone could care for them.

  • @OurLifeOnFilm4110 I am not assuming anything, the kid says on the video that Sally had just given birth and it was very intense.

Children should not be breeding any animal and owners should not be deciding whether to breed them either, like you said, most end up in shelters, so until humans stop killing the 9 million UNWANTED pets EVERY YEAR, no one should be breeding.

However, breeding is not the issue here, bathing rabbits is and it should not be done, let rabbits groom themselves.

  • @Gordy237 you sure are assuming alot seems like you are just opening your mouth out of boredom. more then 9 million are unwanted but it's not cause of people it's cause they are animals they are always going to over populate THEY DO NOT NEED PEOPLE FOR THAT! the animals that do get decided to breed aren't having babies but 1 or 2 times because of good breeders in the wild they would have god knows how many litters this is common sense. I'm a member of PETA and know this and it is their rabbit!

  • @OurLifeOnFilm4110 also Rabbits even will get in streams on their own ,the water does not hurt them it's not your rabbit so you can get upset stay on your computer sunrise till sunset it does not matter ,there is nothing you can do about it, it is not illegal and it is not animal abuse.. if they were dunking it's head under water or the rabbit did not like it and it was noticeable, then I can understand but it is fine and it is own by them not you so get over it is all I have to say..

  • @OurLifeOnFilm4110 Member of PETA? Not really something to brag about is it?

Wild animals are not pets, pets get put together to breed by humans, or they escape or are carelessly let out by humans and find an un-sterilised mate, I would have thought that with your PETA credentials you would know that.

You should also not be advocating bathing a rabbit, you obviously know nothing about them if you can't see that this rabbit isn't happy, these kids removed a new mother from her babies!

  • @Gordy237 I wasn't bragging and it's fine I can read you like a book knew what you were gonna say about it said it but I'm not ashamed of being a part of PETA I maybe part of the group but I'm my own person and have my own mind. and I know plenty I raise them and not just domesticated ones but I research wild ones too I'm sorry what are your credentials? honestly it does not matter. it is not bothered unless you read minds too. but nothing you can say is gonna change squat. get alife I'm done.

  • I have just realised 'Bunny Mother'? Did you breed from this rabbit? Did you seperate her from her kits to have a bath?

  • you should use wet naps insted of bathing your rabbit

  • that is EXACTLY the kind of lop ear bunny i want !....wait...is that a lop ear bunny mixed with a english spot ?

  • I am so glad you did not dunk your rabbit in neck high water like ive seen other ppl do. That is very dangerous to a rabbit. But this bunny looks calm and relaxed and its good your not using shampoo. But remember, only bath your rabbit when it actually needs it. Because bunnys do bathe themselves =)

  • it looks like they arent even using soap...you guys need to relax. if he diddnt like it, he wouldnt be so chill

  • Bunnies clean themselves, they don't need to be bathed, it is VERY bad for their skin and can cause terrible sores.

    The poor little bunny.

  • @Gordy237 it can only be bad for them if u use the wrong shampoo. rabbits need baths SOMETIMES to clean the part they cant.

  • @Gordy237 then y do they sell bunny shampoo

  • @minnimouse1998

Ermm... I don't know, maybe for the same reason that cigarette companies sell cigarettes, because it makes them money and there will always be a dope out there who thinks it is a good idea!

  • @Gordy237 but theyd get suedf if its does sumthing to the bunnyyyyyy

  • @minnimouse1998 If only life was that simple! Just stop bathing your bunny, submersing rabbits into water is not only is it traumatising for the rabbit, but the water can cause sores and inflamation, especially around the groin.

Read up on rabbits properly, sign up to some rabbit forums and learn about how to look after your rabbit responsibly, I bet you also give her a carrot to eat!

  • @Gordy237 Dude, it wont hurt them if there bathed ONCE in a blue moon, stop trying to act like you know everything.

  • @zXEmoGummiBearXz Rabbits are very clean animals, there are only 3 reasons why they may get dirty, 1) They have been in the dirt and just like wild rabbits, they are quite capable of cleaning themselves, 2) They are ill and they need to go to the vet. 3) The owners are slobs and they do not clean the bunnies living area enough. All instances SHOULD be rectified without water.

BTW, the OP has not confirmed whether these kits lived or not, her silence says volumes to me.

  • @Gordy237 Is this your Rabbit? No it is not. Its her problem whether it died or not, not yours. Rabbits have babies like crazy, there not going extinct. Chill out.

  • @zXEmoGummiBearXz You are an idiot, I do not wish to converse with you any longer.

  • @Gordy237 Lmao, atleast I'm not some low life calling people names. xD

  • @Gordy237 stfu!

  • @RawDough8 Aww bless, you haven't learnt to read and write yet, never mind, you will get there, you just have to have faith and a brain!

  • @Gordy237 I really dont care what you say to me kid, but a vet would recommend you to wash your rabbit as long as you use the right shampoo, so until you learn how to take care of a pet and yourself stfu and dont comment because you have no common sence kid!

  • @RawDough8 I must give you credit for learning to read and write as quick as you did, but you still are unable to comment without abuse; such a pity.

As a long term rabbit owner, I can only laugh at people who believe that the FEW DAYS training that vets get on rabbits is adequate. I think that you should learn your facts and not make yourself look very, very stupid, before you comment on something that you obviously know nothing about... kid!

  • @Gordy237 look stfu i know alot about animals as i have grown up with them my whole freaken life! my family members all have animals so my whole family from cousins to aunts uncles are animal lovers my uncle has a freaken pigeon coop! i know exactly what im saying and dont give a dam to what your opinion is, i am not stupid since i am taking all PRE-AP classes and school and will be guarateed a scholarship to college in my future that awaits, so dont tell me what i know and dont ... kid

  • @RawDough8 Typical 'pet owner', thinks that just because they have 'had' animals, they know all about them, you obviously do not know about rabbits, you have proved that, yet you keep bleating on and embarrassing yourself.

I really don't care about your classes, although I am honoured that you felt the need to explain yourself to me, you obviously crave for my acceptance, which unfortunately I can not give as you are a rude, abusive little person who doesn't deserve it.

  • @Gordy237 Yeah i'm not doing this everyday, you don't know me in real life so you don't anything i do or dont know, all I know is you can give a rabbit a bath, it's not going to hurt them as long as you know what your doing, if you couldnt then they wouldn't make bunny shampoo, and one more thing i am not rude, and I do know ALOT about animals, and since you keep trying to fight on top of me, your trying to "win" so i'm not the one who's embarassing themselfs! have a good day

  • @RawDough8 OK, so do you agree that the OP was right? Should these kids have removed mum from her kits straight after the trauma of giving birth to go and wash off her scent, whilst her kits lay abandoned without being cleaned?

The OP asked similar silly questions about the shampoo, yet failed to respond after I inferred that the kits had probably died. They probably picked the kits up to see how cute new born bunnies are, I wouldn't be surprised if mum killed them out of fear.

  • @Gordy237 well then see, instead of yelling back and forth at each other, the whole freakin time we were trying to say the samething, but if you bathe a bunny at least once in his/her life, if for some reason like, it stinks really bad, or it was dirty it wouldnt hurt them, do you see what im trying to say?

  • @RawDough8 I agree about the yelling back and forth, but then I wasn't the one who started the conversation with "stfu"!

I cant agree that rabbits should be bathed, the risk of E.C from the stress, the stress in itself, the water on their delicate skin, the risk that they would be left wet, or worse, someone getting impatient with a hairdryer and burning their genitals, it should just not be done, especially as rabbits have been cleaning themselves for many years, they do not need our help.

  • @Gordy237 ok you have a point, well the only one who can make a decision about giving the rabbit a bath is the owners, so i guess theres nothing we can do about it =(

  • @Gordy237 Bath and showers may help a rabbit. For them to lick themselves is not cleaning. I mean licking? People can give them showers if the power on low or what they did for a bath .. water level low.. (OPINION..)

  • @Twiliiii I have explained the reason why this is not a good idea, you can find 2 of my comments in the Top Comment section.

Just to warn people, many rabbits suffer from a condition called E. Cuniculli, this is a parasite which lays dormant in the rabbit and attacks vital organs when the rabbit is stressed, you might 'think' that bathing is a good idea, but you could allow the parasite to take hold and kill your rabbit from the inside, without you even knowing what you have caused.

  • @Gordy237 Opinion... I was justing saying I dont think them licking themselves is cleaning. And when their stressed I would not bathe them. Im talking about when they are actually dirty...

  • @Twiliiii Licking themselves IS cleaning, it is called grooming, it is very important to them and to their bonded mates.

Rabbits by nature are always stressed, so there would never be an appropriate time to bathe them and it would be better to find out why a rabbit is dirty rather than to just try and rectify it, if it is mud, just stop letting them play in mud, if it is faeces, take them to a vet who specialises in exotics.

Mine is not an opinion, it is free advice!

  • @Gordy237 Well I still think is petty gross for them to lick themselve but what ever!

  • @Twiliiii What a ridiculous thing to say, many animals groom themselves, very few have a rubber duck and a loafer.

  • @Gordy237 bath are only good if the bunny blinkied in a bit of dog sh!t

  • @Gordy237 Oh ... I didn't know that!

I have a white rabbit and his coat was quite gray of the dirt so I made him also in bath. I wash him about 1 time in the half year. But is it so bad to wash a rabbit?

  • @DaKellyBelly Rabbits have oils in their fur and it is bad to wash them away, they also suffer greatly from fear/stress and bathing could cause long term damage from the EC parasite, they also have very delicate skin and bathing can cause painful sores. They are them main reasons, but it is cruel to put them through it anyway.

If u keep their area clean daily, most rabbits will mess in one main area, leaving them free to sit in clean bedding, so bathing should never be necessary.

  • @Gordy237 Thanks for your information!

  • @Gordy237 Water is bad for their skin?

  • @Gordy237 Thats true somewhat but rabbits do need help at times lol

  • omg that is soo cute! im getting a bunny soon . Do i have to wash it? and if i do , do I have to use bunny shampoo or just water? or water and soap? Any help?

  • @hannahandlauren911

No, they don't need to be washed.

  • @nicolevins okay then

  • omg thats one big eye arrrrrrrrrrrg

  • aww is that the real way i am going to try it
