To be honest with you all I would actually label this early hardstyle as there's no trance synths in it at all to make it hard trance!! Nowadays its the other way round and (nu-style) hardstyle generally always has trance in! This might confuse some coz so many European hard trance tunes have tons of acidlines in as we all know. This however, still utilises the same acid sound but has a hardstyle bass. There was even an album out.. Various - Hardstyle - European Hard Trance (2xCD) from Discogs.

hardstyle and hard trance are incredibly different

firstly hardstyle is faster and a form of gabber and hard trance.

secondly hard trance is again more like trance. hardstyle orignally was just gabber slowed down with a hard trance synth. a VERY VERY different thing.
