  • I am Russian. If Finns are so brave and good and we Russians are so bad, some questions.

Why you put Russians in Concentracion Camps in Karelia near Petrozavodsk (80000)??

Why you with Your German nazi friends starved Leningrad people to death during Leningrad siege?

And about your Ciwil War. Why you killed during Red Terror 70000 FINISH(NOT RUSSIAN) communists.

  • @vitjoki91

And Soviet didnt cause millions of deaths from holodomor and they didnt send millions to die gulag camps?'

    Oh wait they did!

  • @KeLLingH You no answer in my question. If Finns only defend their LAND why the did such things to peace Russian population in Karelia and starved to death Leningrad people during Leningrad Siege. Finns are nazi Ally and NOT only defend country , but dream about Great Filnland to Ural mountains where live Native Ugric people...

Why you talk about Holodomor and Gulags?? Yes Stalin did this bad things but this video about Finland...

  • Comment removed

  • @vitjoki91 damn, you're one missguided person.

  • @vitjoki91 What kind of history do they teach in Russia? Is Stalin still a great leader who did all he could for his people? Was Finland an evil nation that bombed your towns and Russia only defended in Winter and Continuation war?

  • @vitjoki91 1) They were prisoners of war. (many of whom were not kept in camps because they did not want to go back to Russia, they were allowed to walk around freely and work)

    2) Finland advanced to the pre-winter war border on the east front and stayed there during the whole siege of Leningrad. Finland took no part in the actual siege.

    3) It was a civil war. Why do you kill people in a war? That's kind of a big question and I fail to see how that only relates to Finland.

  • I'm English and want to thank Finland for giving the world Jean Sibelius and his wonderful music especially Finlandia and the Carelia Suite.

  • We already have enough forrest, thus we have no need for carelia. 😜

  • @AngryHumanoid Carelia is inhabited by russian people. Agreements made after WW2 dictate that when borders change due to war, the people are allowed to live where they lived before the change. This would apply to returning the lost lands as well.

First of all it would be a huge crime to the people who would no longer live in their own country and it would be an even greater economical mess for Finland. There is no reason what so ever to ever get that land back.

  • To BeigarthTV: they will be but into their own countries. Germany has nothing to do with this. If the Russian, and Belarus and Ukraina people do not want to leave, we will certainly find a way to deal with them. They must retrurn or face a black hole.

  • Volume is much too low. Please remedy!

  • @BeigarthTV

Kiitos hyvästä käännöksestä. But who wants Carelia back - only FOOLS! If a country like West Germany hasn't even up to day solved the problem with the former East Germany, what about us??? We'd have to rebuild the whole infrastructure. And what about the people there? Where should we put them? Let's face it straight - Carelia is just a memory - and it would be a real burden for entire current Finland.

  • I think a piece of Finlandia should be Finland's national anthem...

  • Has anyone out there got Finlandia played by the Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leif Segerstam. If you have and you were to upload it you would be eternally blessed because this is truly the finest arrangement.I keep hoping to hear and see it.

  • Couldn't give any more respect to a country than Finland. Finland has real history!!

  • Hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää!

  • @teufelfaust135 all to many ppl there! I study History and the russians had maximum around 450 000 soldiers and 2 000 tanks at the front and we finns where no more than 300 000

  • Comment removed

  • So this theme song is about Finnish national awakening and about the things which happend in 1800-1900 ?

  • @T1KKUP0T4T0 Yeah. It's more about the Finnish cultural awakening than nationalism as such.

  • @T1KKUP0T4T0 No, in early 1900, after finnish civil war. what made finland free from communist and didn't join back to communistics of Russia

  • Yksi maailman parhaimmista kappaleista.

  • Hakkapella

  • Why are you showing scenes of beautiful NORWAY with its mountains, fjords and farm lands????!!! This is NOT FINLAND......

  • Just respect all those dead soldiers who fought for this land! Maybe there is some things what we or them can't change but allhought they all were willing to give their lives for independent FINLAND! If there is a chance of peace, why biggest countries in the world are at war atm! There is no peace if all of those 'bigbrothers' are showing us otherwise!

  • @Gjullan1 both of my granpa's were in that war! Both of them are dead! Both of them were heroes for sometime(In my mind they all we be heoes)! Other one died in SAUNA because of the injuries! Other one kept living until He was 79years old and he have had to fought two frontline battles with 18 grenade 'chips' in him own bod , 29 dead friends and chance to see own family again!!!

  • Sry! I were I bit drunk when I sent those posts but IT'S ALL TRUE! That's not even all what they did! Not at all!

  • stupid

  • getagripfool

  • Suomi, the best country in the world

  • @arcuentu67 In English idiot

My translate : Finland , the best country in the world

  • @T1KKUP0T4T0 go shoot urself fuckin dumbass

  • This, this is the true National Anthem of Finland. The sound, the history, the fact that it was made in Finland, by a Finnish man. Not Estonian, not germanese, not swedish, but finnish. Pure, beautiful, Finland.

  • @TheVinssi ahah germanese. i laughed at that

  • @Strongone112 Hahah youre Estonian. I laughed at that.

  • @TheVinssi yes i laugh at myself some times too! lol

  • This is in the Die Hard 2! :D

  • Many of the nature pics here are indeed from Norway, fjords, mountains, waterfalls - nature that Finland doesn't have :)

  • they played this around the clock on Finnish national radio during

the winter war against Russia 1939-40. that told the Finnish soldiers

that there were nothing beoynd the Mannerheim line.

    Leve Finland!

  • @svartekaptenen Now where did you get that information? Not a single history book tell about that..

  • @Spuge12345 there are more information gained by our veterans, perhaps his grandpa, than history books.

  • @svartekaptenen that war was against Soviet Union, not Russia

  • fin:Suomi on PARAS!!! - english Finland is best

  • insta goosebumps

  • The best version of this song that I found was on mp3ify.com and you can download the mp3 or import it into itunes.

  • I've been to Finland 4-6 times. Can't remember. My father worked for Valtra tractors at the time, so we went for vacation and to see the factory.

I want to go back to The country, it has such warm summers, great lakes and beautiful women ;-)

  • @tjillum1000 Nothing wrong with that. Both the music and the pictures are lovely.

  • @olvimann ikr

  • This definately should be our offical national anthem

  • @xB4LL50F5T33Lx If you are Finn, I would admire if it really becomes your national anthem. There is no song in the world that can evoke so much nationalistic pride compared to this one!

  • @Nonie46 Well we dont really have offical national anthem. So I just like to think this is ours. And yeah I'm a finn.

  • @xB4LL50F5T33Lx What are you talking about?? Have you heard of "Maamme" Mistä oikein puhut? jos olet suomalainen ja olet ollu koulussa pitäisit tietää ett "Maamme Laulu" on meidän kansallislaulumme! Vaikka Finlandia on paljon parempi...

  • I played this for a concert and I absolutely love the brass/bass part at 00:27. I play bass so that part is so much fun.

  • Long live Suomi! Of course! Finland is a lovely country! No question about it. I was only wondering about the steep fjords.

  • @SuperBenkoo I think you have a wrong neighbour.

  • @Vampirewolfking Wrong neighbour...???

    In what sense??

  • @SuperBenkoo oh, sorry wrong comment.

  • @SuperBenkoo What fjords? :) Theres not many (if any) fjords in Finland. Norway on the other hand is fairly known of her fjords.

  • Swedes, you can go f yourselves.

  • @korbendallas66 why??!

  • @TheLurker64

    Yes, why??

  • ....somehow, I found some parts again in "Don`t cry for me Argentina"???...is there a similarity between Suomi and Argentina(...not Hungary)???? Both are true Tango-Nations and both I do admire very much!!!!

  • Very lovley muic, just so Expencive to go to Finland!

  • Those pictures, has they all, really been taken in Finland? To me some of them seens to has been taken in Norway.

  • @SuperBenkoo Definitely. No snow covered mountains in Finland.

  • @SuperBenkoo yes they are from norway, these pics are only ment to feel you calm and enjoy the beautiness with wonderful music.

  • @IndisguiseIam

Well you blocked us. We have oil and gas, have the exit in all seas. Thanks

  • @IndisguiseIam

No, you have received "independence" when communists have come. It is your transaction with them. The transaction with them, but not with Russia.

Your logic, Russia Indians, and you Americans? Americans colonizers. Your logic. Only we not Indians(You Americans colonizers - YES). We blocked you on a small part of peninsula.

  • @IndisguiseIam

In english, I think the closest word is "Grit," "Guts," a "Never Say Die" attitude.

More politely, one who is "Indomitable."

Such a beautiful, powerful piece of music. I heard it when I was young and always was interested in Finland because of it.

  • "Ja toisena maaliin tuli pieni ja piskuinen Suomi". Hei!

  • hyvää

    kiitos :)

  • @TheMelodic2011

    Hyvää

    Klitoris.

  • @IndisguiseIam No problem! I'm not actually Polish and am also not the biggest fan of modern Poland or modern Poles. They do have a very admirable and tragic history though.

There are some angry people on the internet!

  • 30 November 1939 – 13 March 1940, Thank you so much!

  • @IndisguiseIam

German Jews communists have granted to you the rights, however we(russia) did not give the rights to you

  • @IndisguiseIam

Finland belongs to Russian. Example - the USA belong to Americans, not Indians. You Indians. It is bad

  • @IndisguiseIam En minä nyt tähän jaksa listaa alkaa selostamaan. Minulla on omat syyni puolalaisvastaisuudelleni.

  • why was there pictures from norway in this video??

  • @IndisguiseIam Ite en venäläisiä vihaakaan. Puolalaiset on vaan niin saatanan perseestä.

  • @teufelfaust135

Btw, my great grandfather on my mother's side fought both in the Winter War and the Continuation War and he saw many of his Finnish compatriots die in the war. He like every other Finn just fought to keep Finland an independent nation regardless what the major powers of WW2 had in mind.

For the Winter War the Germans didn't send shit, and neither did Great Britain or France. Sweden's help was pretty marginal (although Swedes themselves like to think it was crucial).

  • @teufelfaust135

I doubt the Soviets (not ALL Russians) used 2 millions to attack Finland. It would have been an incredibly stupid waste of personel and a logistical nightmare. That claim of yours is as realistic as Herodetos claim there were a million Persians in the Battle of Thermopylae.

Although Finland did incredibly well against poorly trained conscripts led by incompetent party commisars, Finnish war time propaganda exaggerated their numbers. The British did too at the Battle of Britain

  • Long live Finland. <3

  • Finland: the best country!!! SUOMI RULES!!!!

    C. from italy

  • @peocaveo i agree :)

  • @peocaveo Suomi is sure great country, filled with corrupted politicians and company ceos. I love Finland itself, but the politicians and company ce'os have destroyed this beautiful country and made the living here very hard.

  • @Teqo7 Are you really talking about Finland? Corruption in Finland??? I thought you were talking about MY country (italy), the most corrupted country in the entire world. Here living is really hard!

  • @peocaveo Im talking about Finland. Its sad but true. I know Italy's situation too. Very bad problem there too :/

  • that awkward moment when you're listening to Finlandia hymn at YT stops to reload.. what a turn off :-/

  • I have heard Impromptu before, but it was Finlandia!

Great piece, that recorded lots of history in it tune.

  • i have never seen fat people in finland they are all fin!

  • This video is kusee nilkoille. Pictures of Norway mountains and rivers. And weird numbers.

  • why do 99% of all Finniish surnames end in "nen" Is it like "ova"n tthe russian meaning son or daughter of so and so?

  • @Malloyism No, it doesn't mean anything, it's just a common ending without any meaning. And it's not THAT popular :D

  • Finlandia teos on tehty jonkun verran ennen toista maailman sotaa, muuten meni ihan hyvin nämä lisäinfot.

  • It wasn't 14 000 Finns against 17 000 Soviets, It was 337 000 Finns against 1 000 000 Soviets, and their first attack was 3 times bigger than the invasion of Normandy.

  • how we can hate our brothers sweden and norway?have we or have we not stopped ruskiebear so you can live free also sweden and norway? did we not sacrifice many men to keep our and your lands out of communism?so how swedes and norwegians even dare to say Finns hates us? Maybe we sometimes say that you didn gave us enough help but that is only the truth.

  • which orcestra is playing this?

  • This is the best, Sibelius was a genious.

  • Finns what an Epic nation, in the same league of as Poland, both nations have incredible histories.

I would lean towards Polands history in epicness but the Finns certainly know how to fight! Finland!

  • @thrombox Oh yeah, go Poland! Woo!

The whole of Poland was conquered in two fucking weeks. That is really epic.. yeah.

  • @MGSoldier Pick up a history book, "For you Freedom and Ours" by Olson and Cloud, I think you'll find you'll be shutting your mouth rather quickly.

  • @thrombox I don't give a shit. I don't like Poland one bit.

  • @MGSoldier If you don't give a shit why are you on here commenting? You are obviously german, right?

  • @thrombox I am Finnish. You don't have to be German to hate Poles. Jesus!

I don't be amazed by this video, because it have been made by British.

  • It is unfortunate that our country often finds itself in the middle of other country's wars. I think that happens because we truly want the world to be a better place. We are usually the 1st in line to offer assistance to even those who would destroy us. And MOST of us ask only that you respect us as you want us to respect you.

  • I find it amusing to read all the negative comments. I also find it disheartening. Unfortunately, most of what the world "knows" about Americans is what they see in the news or see in movies. I am 57 yrs old and I can tell you that the large percentage of Americans do not think they are any better than any other person from any other part of this world. The Americans, as a whole, are a very generous people. While we have much(from a materialistic viewpoint), we also share much.

  • At around 4:05 the numbers are a "bit" off. Winter War had about 350000 Finns against about 760000 Russians. The casualties alone were far greater that the numbers in this video - 25904 dead or missing Finns and 126875 dead or missing Russians.

  • Finns DOES hate Scandinavians esp Sweden who they call Hurrit which means Swedish devil

  • @FirbenStrid Now you see "they" as you put it call the Swedish speaking Finns in Finland Hurrit its a minority here and no I do not think it means Swedish devil. =)

  • @FirbenStrid Bulllshit. Finns don't hate Scandinavians. Only Swdes...lol.

  • @kanervatie

    strange statement.

Finns don't hate swedes...my experience as a swede.. and swedes not hate finns ( only in icehockey!)

  • @diniro01 You are right many finnish say that swedish are gay and shit like that but they don`t mean it, like you said it`s mostly about ice hockey :-) Luckily Finland won last time :-)

  • May Odin forever bless Finland by the way!

  • @Helsingfors

Be not afraid. The Russian soldier will protect you.

  • @PavelNT WRONG! I am not Finnish, but I respect that Finland belongs to the Finns. But know this - that I do find Russia and its people very interesting and unfortunately very misunderstood by the rest of Europe. Russia is definately a part of Europe and it's history even though some think it is not. However self determination is a right to be afforded to all the peoples of this world - even the early Rus.

  • @Helsingfors

Only if he bows his head with Ukko

  • Finland was the only country who bothered to pay back the US aid from WWII.

And BTW - we dropped two atomic bombs to keep our people from being killed.

That's what war is. We didn't start it, but we sure finished it.

    (No pun intended...)

  • @MullinsMovies

Finland was Hitler's ally. What could Finland return the USA? And be aware the USA about existence of Finland?

  • @PavelNT You talk about "was was was and were". Finland is today a friend of Nato, soon a part of it.

  • @TheQneb And USA knows friends of nato or nato-countries. We use their Hornets. And in 10 years are buying next fighters, and 90% probability is that they are from the United States also. You talk like you were from fifties, did you come to youtube with a time machine?

  • @TheQneb

It doesn't contradict the fact that you live on my earth

  • @PavelNT If you REALLY think its your land, thats same... because you will not get it "back" (like it ever was yours) lol

  • @TheQneb

It is real. Tomorrow you will collect the Finnish small suitcase and you will go home.

  • @PavelNT AHAAAHA, what's the point in arguing with YOU? YOU make no sense because your English is bad. Save your arguments for other dreamers who can share conversation in Cyrillic. The conquest of Mongoloid people from 1462 wasn't so difficult, look at America. Besides modern succcesses by your nation came by scavening on the misfortunes of others. Koreliev would not have been successful without the work of Von Braun. Scandinavians made you what you are today - think Rurik the Viking, Comrade!

  • @Helsingfors

"Scandinavians made you what you are today - think Rurik the Viking, Comrade!"

You the fool. The Russian soldier was at war with Sweden and has won the earths of Finland. Formally you small young Finnish village didn't exist at all. We have made you.

  • @PavelNT AHAHHAHA you are the fool, the Slavic inhabitants of Russia called in Rurik to protct them from the Pechenegs, Rurik was a Varyagi - Viking. From that came Novgorod, Kiev, Suzdal etc. The rivers of Mother Russia were opened up by Slavs but under Scandinavian leadership. You left a provocative comment for the Finnish people and that is why I am involved in this argument. Finland belongs to the Finns always should always will.

  • @Helsingfors

You not the Finn, and the submitted British or their servant. You discuss as is better to cook coffee.

  • @TheQneb Ehm, of course it is Finnish land. Finns have have allways lived there. Long before invading russians.

It's the same logic as in horsethieves case. Though the horse thief has stolen that horse, the horse doesnt belong to the thief...

  • @kaahaajaFIN

The Finnish earths belonged to Sweden, next the Finnish earths began to belong to Russia and Russian people.

Today the Finnish earths are occupied by you, by means of Antirussian western forces

  • @PavelNT You're so clueless. These finnish ''earths'' have allways been occupied by Finns. For 800 years 2 other countries had conquested this are which is known as Finland nowadays. These lands has been occupied 2 times by outer forces, but never has Finns left this area. So Finland has and allways will belong to the finnish people.

  • @kaahaajaFIN

All was Sweden . Next russian

  • @PavelNT Actualy Soviet Russia was first country what admitted Finlands independence.

  • @MrSuurijohtaja

Russian people have given you the permission ?

  • @PavelNT At 31.12.1917 V. I. Lenin, Josif Stalin and Lev Trotski signed confession about the independence of Finland.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrSuurijohtaja

    On a fence too write.

  • @PavelNT It is just a fact. Russia does not even want Finland back. And why would it want??? Ridiculous!

  • @MrSuurijohtaja

    Because you are here?
