The real FACT is that morons like him wana ban incandescents because they know that most people, like me, hate CFLs and will alwys prefer the edison bulbs over CFLs. My advice is to stock up on edison bulbs and have enough to last u a life time.

I wish everyone in favour of this ban knew that the only alternatives for me are (a) headaches and eyestrain so bad I can't work/live properly without strong pain (b) candles which they dislike anyway and aren't as good for my eyes as the regular lightbulbs or (c) darkness. Nice going envirofascists. I wonder who else is light sensitive.

I tried the 5 CFL's from Home Depot. 2 of them burned out after about 80 hours of use. Made China. Quality?  My incandescent bulbs (Sylvania) burn for 3 years usually.

The market is what brought about the flourescent light bulb and just about every other advancement in human history. People have always worked to better their lives. You don't have to ban things when they are already becoming out dated by the market, unless you want to take credit for something you didn't do and say oh look I saved the planet.
