What a great fight, both fights were great fights. One of the judges made a mistake with scoring the 1st round in the 1st fight, which he said would have made Pacquiao win the fight by split decision.

Pacquiao fans tell me; Pacquaio won both times. To me, for Marquez to come back the way he did in the 1st fight, it's a draw. All 3 judges should have had it a draw.

The 2nd fight, many boxing analysts thought Marquez won 8 of the 12 rounds.

Lederman is okay as a boxing scorer. I thought Pacman did win round 7 after getting his butt kicked in rounds 3-6. Rounds 8 and 9, however, were close, But Marquez probably deserves the nod in both, Pacman got 10 and 12 with Marquez winning 11. That's 7 rounds to 5 with Pacman picking up 3 points (not 4) for round 1. That's 113-113.

No, it is not automatically a 10-8 round.

The 10 point MUST system means that you MUST give the winner of the round 10 points and the loser gets something else. The judge can score a round even because no one had an advantage.

A knockdown almost always results in a one point deduction, but so can a dominating round. If one fighter dominates a round, but got knocked down by one punch at the beginning or end of the round, It is rarely scored 10-8. In fact, he might still win the round.

Some of these rounds are very tough to score. I have 1,2,7,9,10 for Pacman so far for a score of 95-92 Pacquaio (10-6 first round). I thought Pacquiao won the 2nd while Marquez was getting his marbles back together, Marquez swept 3-6 with great counterpunching, and you can make a case for either fighter rounds 7-10.
