There is a boss at lv9 and its extremely hard you need the sword of farewell to activate the battle

If you meet something called Mind Flayer. Just kill them for over 180000 Experience per character. All they do is reduce your MP to 0. If it actually killed you like in STAR OCEAN 3!! There would've been something to worry about. But there is isn't.

You make Skanda with Magic Clay and then you Copy them with a Magic Camera or RIRICA and Magic Film. Skanda allows you to almost instantly run from normal battles. You'll need them for those Life Flayers. The ruined all of my trips through here until I figured out that there was an item that allows you escape easier. They escape Accessories on the other hand WILL Not Get you out fast enough. My poor Chisato just died earlier. The others got out fast enough though.

the only thing i know about the red spiders

is dont use any spell that well do damage to them because they all well go after the one who cast the spell

p.s this why i use bloody armor for lvl10

the sealed coffin has a cross, and the "cure all" skill has another cross... in the psp version neither the coffin and the cure all has a cross... whats the reason?

those red spiders really are annoying but i beat them with star guard so my party would almost block any attack!

don't listen to what people say about forming parties or putting the right people together. In the cave of trials you need attack power, and a reliable healer. I suggest Claude, Ashton, Dias, and Rena. I got this game when it first came out and it's my favorite RPG ever. My entire party is lvl 200+ After that point the cave of trials is hard, but not as hard as what it seems.

You can give the Fortune to someone else and still get items so Rena has an extra accessory slot :P

I forgot what floor they are on but you can level a ton off of the Level 99 guys.

Nice ;) Ill look for them. Now im trying to figure out how to get past the door on floor 11 after I defeat the Phoenix. The coffin upstairs is empty, but there was no battle there.

Yeh those spiders made me give up on my game and I haven't played it since but am thinking about getting back into it, except I'm thinking of getting Ashton instead of Opera and Ernest this time for my cave of trials run. I personally prefer Ashton in battle over Opera, but do you think it's still feasible to do it and miss the 2 battle suits you can get from ernest plus the usefulness of Opera?

Well I found it pretty interestign at about lv 170 or so with claude and the seraphic garb that he gets enough defense against the spiders to hardly be affected by them ;) I used Ashton in my first runthrough, but I do liek Opera for her added ability to hit flying enemies better lol.

With my party lvl 110 I got pwned in the sixth floor and stopped training

I guess I'll start a new game and get opera and chisato -.-

If the common enemies in that floor can kill claude at almost lvl 160 and the others then I can't ever imagine the power of gabriel celeste =/

Well they arent common but I guess they show up at the worst of times! I made it through this time.
