Its easy.. If you look after the History you can see that half europe with Hungary was occupted by  soviet russia after the II WW for 55 years.. We couldnt do anything ((( WE DID type it in google "Hungary 1956"))) ...... And 20 years its not enough to rebuild what russia destroyed.. so thats all... Very very sad.....

Sad but true. But that is beginning to change. Very glad to see the Hungarian people reviving their culture. Besides, it doesn't matter who makes your planes. What matters is how well Hungary's pilots fly them. Example? Péter Besenyei!!!

Hungarian pilots begun flying with the MIG-29 in1993, and they was first time in service in 01-09-1994, these are MiG-29 B, MiG-29 UB because original it was meant to use in the USSR, but they does'nt give service because they don't have the money...then the hungarian goverment decided at we buy those on the public debt of the ussr...

don't know aout aztecs or mayans,but romanians have their entire fleet of mig-29 grounded due to incapability of properly servicing it,therefore they keep flying the ancient mig-21

You don't want the 'export' model MiG's...even the Russians say they are castrated models...not like the "ass-kicking ones" in good old Russia. The Gripen makes better sense for a small country like Hungary.

Regardless, at least now Hungary has freedom of choice.
