You're on to something, I think you can pull this song off well. To me though, it feels a bit fast and clipped. If you can clean up the buzzing/fuzzy notes (maybe just check capo position...) and slow it down a touch it'd be golden.

So this song is usually done as a very deliberate slow love song, and it can be sort of heart breaking in its original version.You've taken a different approach to it, and you've really been successful. It doesn't tug at the heart strings the way the original does, but it is so refreshing to hear this song in an upbeat folk/bluegrass style. You're very talented with the guitar and I really loved the cover. Great job!

You have a good voice, you have also chosen a good song for your voice.

Tonality is that quality that makes or breaks a piece of music. There are singers that have excellent voices but choose the wrong song; even those who can not carry a tune, if it were strapped to them, know it. I'd like to hear you sing this more as a ballad, setting your own tempo and even letting your natural accent inflect the words a little.
