  • muskie1976 your a fucking redneck

  • i never use a net, when a pike or muskie thats to big to handle safely, i use a fish baton, u can get them at any tackle shop. they are very effective if u use the right amount of force and hit them right between the eyes. u can then safely remove the hook and toss the fish overboard or u can leave it on shore where a scavenger ie. racoons can eat it.

  • to bad thats immoral and illegal in most states

  • @muskie1976 so ud rather kill a fish than let it go??? wow i hope Fish and Game catch you!!! you POACHER!!!

  • @muskie1976 wow dude i think i should do it to yourself .........

  • @muskie1976 HA HA FUCK U CUNT FACE

  • obviously you haven't handled many big fish, as i've held numerous 40"+ ski's by the gill plate and even holding them there still has given me several scars on my knuckles from rubbing against a thrashing musky's gills. one of these times you won't be so lucky... no matter how good you are.

  • ...not big on fighting large muskies 2the point of exhaustion near death... i personally enjoy watching them swim away.

  • You'll regret not having the right net when you hook into a real fish someday. and when that 50+ shakes her head with your hand halfway in between her gill plate and her gills and tears the flesh on your hand like a banana peal... good luck, and send me the footage when you do land a 30+ lb ski by the gill without harming yourself nor the fish. i'd really love to see it.

  • inexperienced? hardly... problem? no problem- never killed one yet, so obviously i'm doing something right watching well over 150 legal muskies from my boat every season... use a musky net, they are engineered to safely handle large predator fish, get real punklives01... landing a fish by the gills should be used as a last resort, especially for a beginner.

  • maybe you should think about what your saying before you start telling people how to do things... First off, lifting musky/ pike in the 40/50 inch class by only the gill plate does in fact tear the fish's gills, and also puts tremendous amounts of stress on the gill plates and tendons associated with them. Second, the gills are extremely sharp and will do immense amounts of damage to an inexperienced angler. Clearly you have never caught a respectable musky or you'd know NOT 2 hand land one.
