It is theoretically possible for a Honda to beat a Lamborghini. The Diablo has a quarter in the very low 12's (i think 12.2 or something i forget). If you got a civic hatch, gutted the sh*t out of it, swapped in the magical engine-that-ricers-nut-over K20 and used a power adder, you would have a very VERY small chance at breaking into the 11's which would be enough to beat a Diablo.
So is it possible for a Honda to beat a lambo? Yes. Is it something that you're going to see everyday? No.

Well I can understand where you are comming from. There is a big diferents between ricing and tuning a car. One is for the looks and the show of the car (ricing), the other is for more horsepower and speed of the car (tuning). I am becoming a tuner myself, but not on Hondas or inports as such. I have a 1985 2 door Monty Carlo SS that I am working on right now with a big block 400 under the hood and a 350 super glide trans w/411 posy rearend (I picked up the car with this set up in it already).
I just need to get a new 750 Edelbrock carburetor ( the one that was in it got stolen) for it and it will be ready to go (somewhat). But I will say that I am having more fun looking stuff up on my car and finding out how to tune it out rather then looking for stuff to rice it out. Looks are nice but speed is better in my point of view.

No I'm saying that I dont think I have seen a serious "tuner" that still is using a Carb'd application...and most tuners are gonna do the same thing that any person who wants power they are gonna play with the ecu (automatics can have there shift points changed,diffrent a/f ratio,Rev limit on or off,etc,and etc.) On a stock carb there is little to nothing that can be done maybe play with the floats a bit.
Oh yes plenty of carb'd v-8's Most of them probably running holly double pumpers but as for a 4 cylinder application there just not gonna be able to keep up look at the torque band diffrence between a EFI v-8 and a Carb'd V-8 on a ricer/tuner application they just wont be able to compete at all....Look at the 1983 mazda rx-7's they were awesome for a 83 then EFI came along and just started dominating although GMC's Crossfire injection was the most horrible plan ever.
Tuning is modification to the car and tuning it to run properly and how it's desired. Has nothing to do with the look of the car.
