Cam here because I was looking at Ellen Barkin stuff on ebay...this came up. If the young girl is Tina, then I want to say...man, I just realized that she is that great little girl in WaterWorld, the one who gets stuck with Cosner on his Catamaran. She was great in that film, and I'm thrilled to see her finally in another.

It's about two girls who are abused by their mother.

The youngest girl goes and visits an African-American lady.

Her mother didn't approve of it, so the little girl just went when her mother wasn't home.

And the little girl felt safe there and it was like her second home.

Eventually, her mother finds out, and she beats the little girl.

The lady that was taking care of the little girl talked her mother out of abusing them. :]

It's a beautiful movie.

You should really see it.

This was a gem. Try Limewiredotcom to find the movie, if that fails, the dvd is on the Blockbuster and Amazon sites. It is excellent, all the girls performances are great. It screened late at night on tv here (Australia) recently.
