If America does raise it's debt ceiling, it defaults at some later date and the consequences are even worse.
But of course, the fucking politicians won't do anything about anything until it's some major hot topic which they can win votes by solving. By which point it's already too late.
And if - when - America goes down, Europe follows, then civilization stagnates and regresses. Fucking nice one, Congress. Enjoy your votes.
I read somewhere that only 58% of the people in the U.S. have jobs right now. Even if we gave 100% of what we make in taxes, we will never pay off that debt. I live in the midwest and the farmers cannot get fertilizer, plus the drout is killing anything that is in the fields. We are on the edge of a very bad situation, my friends.
I live with 270 dollars salary per month in Romania. It is amazing when you look at America and how they can't live with 1000 dollars per month.
7 dollars per hour is a king's salary in my country. My salary was 700 dollars per month before 2008, but when the financial crisis began it all went to pieces.
You are correct, America is going down. The dollar is losing its value every day.
@MrFishnet101 Why should taxes be increased for corporations? Remember, corporations create jobs. Not the useless eaters. Therefore, corporations and there mangers deserve tax reliefs, while those, who don't contribute anything to the nations income should pay the state debts. That's the most natural thing. Isn't that fair enough for you?
@SH0LVA sacha i have figured out your weakness, it is your faith. your faith in a higher power, lol. you refuse to answer my question or accept the possibility that mankind might one day transcend their human form, because if they do what need would there be for a god? in your mind and the minds of many religious fundementals humans must remain weak to justify your belife in god. what make you disingenious is your job role. you know and see things most people will never see. but yet do not accep
@olokun80 Obviously, there is a misunderstanding. I understand religion as a spiritual and moralic guideline, but certainly not as a hope, God would come down and interfered with our lives. Only exo-ufoists believe, one day an ET would come down from the heavens and administered to all believers the golden, mind-enlighting ET-probe. I think, whoever performs a serious and honest work should benefit, while parasitic useless eaters should pay the bills. Of course, solidarity with weak, sick and...
(ff2)...make any difference, if you control a cursor by your hand, your eye-movements - or your brain-signals.
Advances in medicine and (abusive) upgrades are quite different things. E.g. nobody objects against a colchea-implant to enable deaf people to hear again, but in the moment, somebody attempts to 'upgrade' a human without considering the consequences, we face a serious ethical problem. E.g. China did already this mistake, when they allowed parents to genetically select the gender...
(ff3)...of their chirldren - and messed up their whole population structure. (They have too many male- and too few female people). Believe ist or not, but playing God is not a matter of belief. Nature has very good reasons to favorize a particular technical solution - and even to build limitations. To play with nature and to look what happens is not only childish and stupid, but shortsighted. Micheal Jackson was a weirdo who believed, he could overcome his age by all sorts of upgrades, BTW.
@SH0LVA aww so the real reason you are against human improvement is fear. it is all about control with you isn't it. your argument is still flawed because you are not taking everything into consideration. there are trans humanist who believe in microscopic robots, then there are those like me who know that brownian motion and quantum effects prevent these things from becoming a reality. thus technology to improve humans can only progress with computing and biology coupled together.
@olokun80 "...the real reason you are [technical] against human improvement is fear..." Nope. I am against it, because transhumanism is a possessive pseudo-religion, launched by a group of greedy, semicrazed futurists and based on dodgy, half-baked and apparently sensible arguments, that contradicts all experience with already 'improved' biological organisms (GMO). Like any other religion, there is no way for an objective discussion. No matter what you tell, an exo-ufoist believes in the...
(ff2)...old people isn't excluded - as far as solidarity isn't abused.
To upgrade a human to a super-cow or enhance his body with all sorts of implanted gadgets is utter nonsense and is somehow an offspring of a quite crank fantasy. There are quite sensible physical reasons (our lifespan included), why biological systems work in that manner as they do today. Of course, you can implant your mobile phone into your body, but don't be surprised, you have to see a surgeon to replace the battery.
@SH0LVA so all the scientist working on extending the human life span, or the neuroscientist and computer engineers looking to create a brain computer interface. or the doctors who hope to use molecular nano technology to cure deseases are wasting their time then hey? sacha you once said to a et crazy that just because they do not believe in something doesn't mean that it does not exist. i'm well aware of brownian motion which limits nano machines. but that does not mean that cybernetic implant
@olokun80 Theoretically, scientists can already extend humans life span, since the limiting mechanisms (telomers) are well known. If such a manipulation would really take place, humanity overpopulated - and the overaging population would be faced with many new diseases, because the lifespan of biological systems is limited by quantum effects (uncorrectable cell replication error rate). Neural human-machine interfaces however don't fit into the caterogey of intrusive implants, since it doesn't...
@SH0LVA with this we can create artifical genes (which there is research into today) to insert into existing human dna and at the same time create artifical biological lifeforms which can be used to enhance us.

Unless the topic won't become a major issue (I don't think) it's better to stop the discussion.
@SH0LVA very well sacha i will stop the discussion, since you have not provided any clear reasoning apart from your own fears as to why human enhancment by cybernetic and genetic upgrades is not possible. this wasn't about trans humanism. trans humanism is just one school of thought within many. in any case when everyday scientist and doctors believe as i do, then that just highlights your own fears and arrogance. when you take into account all the possibilities of EHT not to mention the --
Tax cuts must end. Taxes must increase on Corporations who evade taxes and who pay 0 taxes while operating in America. Taxes needs to be raised on the 200+ corps who gave pay raises to ceos while laying people off. We have been in a collapse since 2008; Hence why we have since then been raising the debt ceiling.
Yes, I could not agree more. In 1969 CEO's made roughly 70 times what the average worker made. Now they make over 700 times!! If these special interest groups like Big Oil, and Pharmaceuticals were suffering financially, you could make a case for continuing their generous tax breaks. But they're not! They are profiting billions. Their CEO's have awarded themselves gross amounts of compensation. Self interests, and keeping the status-quo of these greedy groups is death to us.
Maybe the systems we use just evolved.. Heat energy is real and usable, and should not be a "necessary waste product" as we "intend" it to be presently. You buy a 3 gallons of gas, but throw away 2/3 when you drive down the road. As indiividuals we seriously have to question that methodology. This has to be enforced as "a standard" of methodology. It has to be very intimidating to try to change. There are people who do that stuff.. It is like excessive taxation, but hidden in "bad usage".
No one thinks about it. No one really knows why things were set in place the way they were. Here's a possibility. When home electric delivery began most folks had little or no experiience and central delivery worked and kept the lights on at home, But it has become a travesty of deception, enforced methodology, & general abuse of conception and intelligence. Why would the choose a very bad methodology and force you to use it exclusively???????????
The way it works is this.. Insteady of buyin the fuel needed to heat your home and power your basic applaiances, you but it one time to heat your home and then you buy some power from the electric company and they throw a great deal away in delivery. You could generate using an internal combustion engine in winter save the heat and heat your home with it. The basic tool (not used now) would be an insulated water tank to save heat from your personal generation op.
Keep in mind that there is heat capture tech. While we would only use some small fraction of the fuel we do now; it is still completely quashed. You can see it, but you can also see where it begins. The big one is with motor vehicles, & the other is with centralized delivery of power. It is serious mind control for the purpose of control. What is the source of ths. It seems unblelievalbe that this "system" could be installed. Probably sound crazy because it is contrary to common knowledge
Worrying time ahead for all over there. Will the debt crisis in turn make the USA seem weak and vulnerable to it's enemies, just curious...Sending luv from OZ.
The world agreed in the 40's to have the dollar as the world's reserve currency because then the USA produced much much more than it consumed. Now it consumes much much more than it produces. It prints money out of thin paper to pay for imports, "If its too good to be true it probably is" The USA is abusing its position as having the world's reserve currency and the world is tiring of it. The free ride is coming to an end. If the USA doesn't produce, its gone. continued
@jimbobubbadj Its lost its base to maintain its power. It depends on the rest of the world to make things for it and to accept its money. Without production at home, it will lose its ability to project power. The world does not have to fight it now, all the world has to do is to shut it off. Its already bogged down in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen and others. All it will take now is a needle in a haystack to collapse it.
I was trying to express my concerns to an old friend in Florida, and she actually said, "Don't worry -- they'll just print up more (money)!" "Social Security is just around the corner!" she also said. They really don't see, they don't want to know. It's so WEIRD. Now that unemployment is down & the GDP is way up in France, they are pretty darn complacent, too. Back to sleep, everyone!
