These days money is created out of thin air, and is destroyed when the principal of the loan is retired (A side effect of the new and improved 'fractional reserve' banking....I meant usury system haha.). ....Ummm...But not the interest paid to service the loan. Thus the money supply contracts when banks stop lending....

@mutabrev why not lend money out of altruism, instead of a need for personal gain. profiting from the need of others is blatant exploitation. the idea of adding "interest" to a debt is simply creating fictional currency. this simply promotes the culture of selfish profiteering by those who feel justified in crushing the disadvantaged, obtaining success no matter the cost.
