@Spaceboy101 (continued) but if you practise getting into the stance for that same 8 hours, you will learn to snap to that stance, and you will learn to snap to it correctly. i would call this more valuable for the beginner. a beginner needs to get a handle on correct movement, which naturally corrects posture and weight distribution, etc. standing post refines these, but in order to refine something, you must have something to refine.
I want to thank you for the clarity in your moves, video, and transmission of knowledge. I learned much from your video. I'll definitely continue doing Hsing-I. Your video motivates!!!!
I believe so many under estimate the amount of time & the difficulty to do just San Ti (San Chi) posture in Hsing-I; This is a very good training drill for coordination of the body mechanics. As mentioned below it takes some time to get this down properly...so 37 seconds displayed here is really many compounded lessons for a beginning practitioner...and a continued practice for a person who has been training for a while
@Mider999 Mcneil was the xingyiquan guru of the late 1990 - 2000 era. I'm sure James knows his stuff but James' instructional vids only showed forms, no practical combat.
@LowKickSlick Santi can only be mastered by static training which for the uninitiated means standing montionless in teh stance for long preiods of time. You build up the body's weak areas through the isometric exertion and learn to properly relax and adjust you atance to the correct balance.
With me it is quite the opoosit, as with noble Mr. michahman. I find that for just 37 seconds this clip is stuffed with two or three months worth of lessons. Very relaxed, power still vibrating. From internal styles I only know Tai Chi well enough, but from what I can tell the alignment is very good.
All in all: one clip I watched often, and still learn from.
that is so bad. No understanding of hsing i at all . I must of became a master and dont know it. I got 2 stop posting on stuff like this . 20 minutes with this guy and I could help him so much. He's been away from his teacher to long

VladdXIII must be upset by the little thing dangling between his legs. Your words show that you have no experience training with individuals from different nationalities like we do in USA. Where can we see you doing something, internet tough guy?

This guy obviously knows his stuff. Much better than lots of Xingyi guys who do powder puff movements.
