  • you are skipping steps, you can make the motor go smoother and faster if you fill the rest of the steps your steps : 1100 0110 0011 1001 you need to do the steps: 1000 1100 0100 0110 0010 0011 0001 1001 good luck
  • @sam19090 - You mean gray code? Allowing only one bit change at a time?

  • how do you measure the speed the motor is running at?

  • @parravision2011 Should be easy. For example the motor rotates 1.8 degrees everytime you send a pulse. That means it will take 360/1.8 = 200 pulses to make one full rotation.

If you know how fast youre sending the pulses, you'd know how fast it the motor is running.

  • how did you know what parts you needed??? what are those chips for and do they have code in them?? :O

  • So, how goes the half stepping version? I made a board with a TTL half step sequencer on it. I'd post a link to a picture but apparently it is not allowed here. bitDOTly cS2xpO

  • this is good can you giving me a plan of this board thanks

  • Is this capable of half/quarter/eighth stepping, or does it only do whole steps? Thanks :)

  • Whole steps.. I am working on the half-step version right now...

I dont think smaller than half-steps can be achieved without a uC..

  • Alright, looking forward to seeing the next design :)

  • can it be plug in a pc

  • Yes , i designed it so that it can be hooked up to the parallel port

  • pleases give me the Ic Number
