  • i like the idea you madefoodluvr79 i really like :D

  • cool

  • Oh my god, I didn't know you could just use the plastic as is! I mean, I knew there were products for shrink art that were made with it, but... Holy shit! You genius! Thanks for posting this! :D Rock on, Recycler! :3

  • @delicatebiscuit youre welcome :) but I didn't think of this so this doesnt make me a genius lol, I read about this technique before so i just wanted to make a video to share with everyone

  • @foodluvr97 Well still, you're friggin' awesome for posting this video, otherwise I never would've found out you could do this.

  • I saw this on a web site an wanted to try it but they said that there was a risk factor because ur melting the plastic and the fumes could get in ur lungs... is that true or is it safe?

  • @SuperCraftyGirl100 there is a possibility that fumes would be released. but i doubt that its dangerous , because shrinkydinks (the brand name product) is the practically the same thing and they would be in trouble if their product released fumes. i would definitely reccomend letting the air circulate though, by keeping windows open etc. in the room you're baking it in.

  • @foodluvr97 Thanks! That makes me feel better about trying this... now i have to find #6 plastic! :D

  • why does have to be #6 plastic??

  • @LilAngel0425 anything else won't work

  • THis was so cute! i have to try it when I have that empty plastic container. So does it have to be #6 plastic? Nothing else will work?

  • @sweeterthencandydeco nope, when you bake anything else, it doesn't shrink right. thanks for the comment :)

  • can u use a normal oven? :( i dont have a tostar oven.....

  • @LightningShock246 yeah, for conventional ovens, its preheat to 250F. pop it in, just watch them while they shrink and take them out when they are done.

  • @foodluvr97 ok thanks :)

  • Muy bueno de todos los que vi,,este es el mejor post!!!saludos desde Argentina...

  • What kind of permanent markers and can u color with anything else besides those?

  • @XxLenaLyxX any permanent markers should work, though the higher quality ones would be better. i havent tried it but i've seen people use sand paper on the plastic and then draw on it with colored pencil. i dont think this works as well though.

  • @foodluvr97 oh okay then Thank you and Awesome tutorial!

  • @foodluvr97 love nevershoutnever too omg

  • omg you like nsn too so do i plus luv your idea

  • This is super cute! And great because you don't really have to buy anything! ^-^

  • hi i made some of these and almost al of the cracked when i was trying to push them down to flatten them out? what should i do i worked really hard on them

  • @Kraftingcreativity D: how long was it out of the oven, the charms? before you started presseing them?

  • How long do u bake it?

  • @ZebraLuv99 depends on what you're using but there's really no specific time :| if you're using a conventional oven, after you preheat it and put it in the oven, I'm guessing it takes about 1-2 minutes. If it's a toaster oven without preheating maybe 2-4 minutes. The best thing to do is just watch the charms as they shrink, and once they stop shrinking, take them out and flatten them with a spoon/spatula if curled. you should try it with a scrap piece of plastic before to get the general idea.

  • @foodluvr97 So basically, I bake it for 250 degrees for 1 minute? h and Awesome Idea! So gonna do this! xD

  • @ZebraLuv99 yup, but you should keep watch on them because I heard it varies depending on the oven or something. when i do mine, I don't really look at the time or temperature, I just watch them shrink :/ GoodLuck!

  • That is really cool! They're like shrinky dinks, but FREE and RECYCLED!!!

  • woww this is so cool! would love to try that out..

wonder what my mom would say when i put the plastic in her oven lol!

  • This reminds me of shrinky dinks. :)

  • @Blah4Bunny yup i think shrinky dinks are pretty much the same thing, but on shrinky dinks you can use crayons, color pencils, etc. This way is good for recycling :3

  • @foodluvr97 Of course. ^-^

  • @Blah4Bunny thats what i was gonna say :)

  • this is so cool thanks for the vid

  • @123aver not that young, already 14 :D

  • CUTE!!!!!! I am going to try it out. XD
