It's time people understand that concussions are a lot more serious then people think and the long term effects are just as serious. Please look for youtube videos that have Christopher Nowinski talking about concussions and wikipedia as well.
If you think that concussions couldn't have possibly caused Beniot to murder his family and commit suicide then why has the NFL, NHL, MLB, and NBA either adopted or are considering concussion policies. Even the WWE, even though they'll never admit it or acknowledge Beniot in any positive way ever again, have reduced the amount of matches that involve chair shots, tables, and other hardcore elements. TNA has also reduced the amount of hardcore matches.

There was countless times that I remember Beniot getting hit in the head with a chair more than once in the same match. Add to that, one of his signature moves was the diving headbutt. Whether the diving headbutt can cause a concussion, I have no clue. But flying from the top rope to hit your opponent with your head, I would guess it's possible.

Chris Benoit died on the 24th June 2007 by committing suicide. He hung himself after murdering his wife and son! Its thought that he killed his wife and son on either Friday or Saturday then killed himself on Monday. An autopsy showed that Benoit had xanax, hydrocodone and an elevated level of testostrone in his system.
Just because he committed a horrible, unforgivable act means you have to destroy the man's livelihood (which led to his condition, unfortunately). He was depressed, had suffered multiple head wounds over time and had severe problems. You can't hate the man for being sick. You don't hate depressed people or HIV positive people.
Hate that the WWE doesn't drug test and enforce it. Respect the man who used to entertain us and pray for the surviving family.

@gtimm22 You do not realize that wrestling to most of these guys is there life, WWE did not have a real substance policy until after benoit and guerrero, most of them have used roids or god knows what else. and that was easy for them, They also had to deal with alot of pain and they could use whatever they wanted to for the pain. The reason alot of superstars dissapeared for a while was so they could get off the roids and drugs after the substance policy came into effect.

For those who dont really much about football I read an interesting article on espn's website about former bengals player chris henry who died after jumping into the back of a truck his wife was driving and died either jumping out.Long story short the dude had severe brain degeneration very similar to that of Benoits who was mentioned in the article which in likelyhood led to his destructive behavior.I would say read it because I definetly have no doubts now about why benoit did what he did

Chris Benoit died on the 24th June 2007 by committing suicide. He hung himself after murdering his wife and son! Its thought that he killed his wife and son on either Friday or Saturday then killed himself on Monday. An autopsy showed that Benoit had xanax, hydrocodone and an elevated level of testostrone in his system.
At the time of his death he was 40 years old.

Just because he committed a horrible, unforgivable act means you have to destroy the man's livelihood (which led to his condition, unfortunately). He was depressed, had suffered multiple head wounds over time and had severe problems. You can't hate the man for being sick. You don't hate depressed people or HIV positive people.
Hate that the WWE doesn't drug test and enforce it. Respect the man who used to entertain us and pray for the surviving family.
