There may have been colouring errors, but the actual character desgins looked good unlike this mess.

Well, you are of course entitled to your opinion and preference.

G1's flaws were more than just coloring errors, though. Characters drawn differently from episode to episode (does Prime have a white thing on his back or not, and how tall is Omega Supreme?) and even scene to scene and shot to shot, cels layered incorrectly or entirely missing, characters appearing out of nowhere (including death) and vanishing just as quickly, again even in the same scene.

@AeonMagnus I think most of that can be accredited to the fact that animation was just getting up and running, and those quirks are generally what make G1 so loveable. But Ani has a modern love-ability of its own that makes it very fun and endearing <3 Don't be hatin, kids.
