I don't understand the name of your organization "woodworkers guild of america" that makes it sound like the organization is comprised of experts. Thats what a "guild" is. a group of members that maintain the highest degree of expertise and quality work. All your videos are so very much for beginners and amateurs.
@OneEyedWheeler my point was that after watching some of these videos I would question that (no offense intended) that the folks making them are in fact experts at the level that they could ever be a member of a "guild" in the truest sense of the word. This is my observation from logging, sawmilling and being trained by some of the finest craftsman in the country in regards to working with both woods and metals. Guilds are comprised of members who are the best at what they do.
@1overthehillsfaraway "Guilds are comprised of members who are the best at what they do."
Where I'm from, a guild is much the same as a union and is not exclusive to only the best in the field. I see what you're saying but have to disagree on your definition as I would define "guild" as being another (perhaps more fanciful) word for "group."
that big "logosol m7" stand is super expensive. like $3,000 and totally unnecessary.it defeats the biggest advantage of chainsaw-milling, portability!
Just get yourself an "Alaskan chainsaw mill" and a good strong chainsaw. 90cc's or better if cutting big stuff. i use a husqvarna 395xp and 42" bar. a big stihl is great too.

@1overthehillsfaraway Who better to produce videos for beginners and amateurs than experts of a guild?
