Oh! My family eats this every Christmas time! But the sauce we have as a lot of flavours in it like raisins and boiled eggs. it's still really good though :)

Actually braciola is not the italian name for roulade... Braciola is the tipical grilled pork steak.

braciola is the name among italian-americans for what would be known in italy as involtini.
why else would braciola be used as a slang word for penis?

perhaps because of its likeness to the "involtino" although I have never heard this word used to describe the penis... Anyway, I translated the word "braciola" with google and the result is "chop" and not "roulade" (whose translation is "involtino")

@scipio70 Actually 'braciola' is a small roulade in southern Italy (where many Italian-Americans came from). Elsewhere it just means 'steak'.
