Statement 7/19/2010 Part 1: I brought the tracks "Spirit of Fire" and "Out Of There Alive." Didn't realize they had this one as an entire track. I love this track. Glad that somebody realized not too long ago that people will buy the music from a game if it's good. In "5 Long Years" (the entire video) they the key notes of Spirit of Fire; I played that part of the video 100 times. Wish somebody remix it so they have it just like that. May Halo Guide Us ALL :) .

What made Sgt. Avery Johnson immune to the flood is unknown, but it wasn't because he was part of Project Orion/the Spt.-I project. The initial guess was from his Boren's Syndrome (I think?) that he contracted from too much plasma exposure when he used an entire crate of plasma grenades against the enemy.

However, it keeps nagging at me that I recently read something where they thought it wasn't Boren's Syndrome anymore...grahh.

Basically, he picked up cancer from extended exposure to Plasma Grenades; he found a box full of them and used them all. The flood parasite rewrites your neural signals during the first stage of conversion. "They couldn't force his neural signals to match because his brain was messed up.
