damn tuan can barely do 2-3 muscle ups...them niggas like hanh and frank can do it like its nothing...its sooo crazy how they do it...but these 3 guys right here, are my motivation
to make them easier... stay in a false grip... meaning keeping the heel of your palm on the rings at all time... it feels awkward... but its hugely easier. just a thought.
@toldjya very true. the false grip is awkward at first but you do get use too it. I did not apply it till after I made this video and someone told me about. Only then was I able to do 1 regular muscle up on the rings, but only one. good post
Tuan, I notice you do a lot of body weight exercises in your workouts. If you want to add some serious bw exercises, search "bartendaz" and these guys do a lot of advanced bw movements and they're probably around 200lbs. Not trying to give you advice because you obviously know what you're doing, I just thought it might help with creativity. =)
that look hard bro..working hard on the lat-chest-tricep-shoulder-a good full upper workout..imagine after 5set of 10..man that would be hardcore...nice work
Tuan, do you know where you could find a pair of those rings? Also would you incorporated this in with the chest, back, or shoulder workout? It seems to work all three along with the abs.
nice vid im not sure if anyone else has asked, but what's you diet like (food wise)? im trying to put together a good diet and just looking for some extra. ive seen your other videos and you seem to know what you're doing!!! thanks
Thanks for the comment. if you really wish to learn, go buy Frank Zane's bodybuilding books, and Hardcore Bodybuilding: A Scientific Approach, and The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. I have read these books through and through and no only nutrition but also other aspects. If you are serious, I would highly recommend them. good luck
you're an inspiration dude. keep it up. any supplementations ur taking such as pre WO and post WO and hows ur diet? any advice for a soon to be 40 yr. old dad, trying to stay in shape, will be helpful and appreciated.any proven effective abs/core workout? thanks so much!
YES I DO, AND ALOT AS WELL. walking, jogging, biking, and stairs are my main ones. and sometimes up to 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours. of course only when I am bodybuilding to build my conditioning and drop fat. but DONT do what I just told you i do. I had to do that much cardio because of my body type, you may differ. so make sure you do your research. thanks for the comment
is is called a muscle up but a little easier with the my feet on the box. Great for mobility and endurance. A true muscle up is done when you are hanging and pull yourself up in to a dip position. I can only do like 1 on my bes day, but with Jerry Hill's Crossfit, you can get great tips on how to pull it off. But trust me, this is a very advanced movement.
real a real athlete. I guess this explains your physique.
a lot of people don't realize how stiff the shoulder can get, both inside and out. this sort of exercise totally prevents that. its a natural movement, not the result of whatever metal can be welded together into right angles.
thanks for the comment. and I use to have really stiff shoulders, but the past couple of years, with this kind of training added into my routine, it has helped alot. Plus the best part is that I can add this to any wo day. it works you in so many different way

To do them with your legs like that looks like it takes a lot of flexibility and stability.
So even when you're "cheating", it's still impressive in it's own right.

I've never seen that exercise before. It seems to work every single muscle above the waist to some extent.
