Hey Teresa!! I don't know how much you can do since you had your surgery but you should definitely check out Insanity or P90X. I did Insanity last year and I lost 20 pounds on my first round.
As of Monday 1/23 I am on a weight loss program.. The big thing they are preaching to me Besides eating right and portion control is to drink 64oz of water a day... yes that is hard especially for people who are not water drinkers but trust me it does really work.. I did a similar weight loss program back in 2007 went from a size 18 to 12.. and they also was pushing the water intake.. PS. you will be visiting the ladies room quite often until your body get use to it..
Updates on the program you're doing would be great!! I've cut down on carbs and lost two pounds this week! I got surgery on my foot over the summer and had my foot broken since December 2011 so I haven't been able to exercise that easily. But now that I'm healing up from surgery I'm about ready to start getting in shape and would love some tips!!
I have gone 0 carb, introduced Mongea 3 fish oil and have lost 2lbs. in a week. I am no longer bloated. During the day I eat dry nuts, raisins and oatmeal...blueberry....Oh, and I eat loads of blueberries too... I only weight 106 lbs. but a girl knows when she gains any amount of weight. I also walk 3 miles a day and yes, I have chocolate whenever I want it caouse I'm doing everythig else right! It works for me. Good luck sweetie....xx
I like you need sweets too and have been eating the skinny cows and they are delicious and don't make you feel deprived. I started a couple months before new years but I have lost 53lbs so far and am trying to keep going. I have a good amount to lose. I gained a lot of weight after being diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis @ 25. So trying to get the weight off again. i just made these and i am serious, you mix a box of chocolate cake mix with a can of pumpkin, nothing else no oil no eggs nothing but the cake mix and pumpkin and bake it like normal and it tastes awesome, you should try it

I'm motivated right now to get healthy this year, my plan is to eat carbs strictly in the morning, and eating small meals every two -three hours throughout the day. Working out first thing in the morning, It just get it out of the way. My water intake will increase with having four glases of water in the am, then four more in the afternoon and one with dinner.

There's a book called The Beauty Detox Solution and it's written by a nutritionist named Kimberly Snyder. She just kinda teaches you how to eat for optimum health. It's not actually a detox but more of a lifestyle. It's extremely informative and educational and kinda one of those books that's makes everything seem so simple. I think you'd like it. I lost alot of weight by making simple changes from the book.
I'm thinking she does not think she is fat she just wants to be more healthy and maybe her jeans are tighter, anyhow 6 smalls meals a day protein in each meal is what I do and have lost 40pds and it has stayed off for 8mths now, I let myself have 1 cheat day

@tinax022 Jay Robb whey protein powder isolate is the best! There's nothing artificial in it and it tastes pretty good! The carbs are really low and 1 scoop is 24 grams of protein. It's even sweetened with stevia instead of Splenda or any of that junk. Hope this helps :-)
I LOVE Duke...I seriously do! I've always wanted a german shepherd and as soon as I have a nice place with a nice back yard I will adopt one. But Duke has really got me hooked on the "sable" colour german shepherds. He is so beautiful!

Good luck on your workout system Teresa! You should try out Zumba classes if you want to lose some weight and have fun at the same time. 2-3 times a week and you'll see a difference, it feels like a dance party and you burn from 600-1000 calories per hour :)!! i loooove it
see, i would be really comfortable with doing that diet and eating stuff like that, but what do you do when you're always oon the go? where can i get vegetable every couple of hours? Colleges lunches are all junk, and at work everything gets cold
Just wanted to let you know that you should only workout for 30-45 minutes a day otherwise the inflammatory response on your body is too much. I have chronic back pain, go to the chiro etc etc and 30 minutes is really ideal for me personally. Good luck!!

P90X is a very good workout routine and it includes diet and everything. Also if youre feeling low at like lunch or right after have some green tea with lemon juice in it, really boosts you up and it super good for you! Honestly, i was never a tea person but now i love it!

Try the myfitnesspal app, it counts all your calories (fat, carbs, nutrients etc), exercise and water intake and I find that by writing down your intake really makes you avoid eating excess calories that your body doesn't require. They have apps for iphone, blackberry and android phones so it's perfect for on the go as well.
The drinking more water is my goal for this year too. I have been doing the eight glasses a day since the end end-ish of Dec., and it has really made me feel better. Like surprised the heck out of my just how good I feel. It makes it easier if you track it to. So, I downloaded a free water tracker app on my IPhone, so worth it! Good luck!
MY MUM HAS LOST 28 KILOS and she goes to the gym 5 days a week aswell! and eats 5 small meals a day.her trick is eating the skinny cow ice creams aswell, because it's bad to deprive yourself of sugar and actually whilst you're on a diet you need that little bit of sugar to really make your metabolism spin fast, and the skinny moos are the healthiest way of getting that sugar boost! good luck and remember you're already at a beautiful weight and you look amazing so don't go too hard on yourself!
What you described with your afternoon snacking is def my problem as well! i would love for you to keep up on making videos like this. Maybe it will help with your motivation as well as inspiring us.
holy doodle duke is a behemoth! very handsome. it sounds like you've got a really nice, balanced approach to your plan. i'm sure you'll succeed. i'm re-learning healthy eating from the standpoint of portion size. healthy foods, of course, but in proper portions. you know how it is. you think you're having a serving of pasta that turns out to be nine servings! lol good luck with everything. just don't let yourself get hungry. take care.

I'd love to hear more about the program you are using, I myself have had a FAILED back surgery, so I can sympathize, I actually lost a lot of weight 62lbs,over the last 3 months I've put on 20 pounds,I can really tell, since my pain has increased. I actually saw the doctor yesterday, and we decided I need to drop that weight, they had to increase my medication dosage due to the weight gain so this is my main reason to drop the weight ASAP as I don't like taking all of those drugs.
Yay for getting healthy! I lost 30lbs last year with the fresh meal delivery program from ediets... It was so easy and I thought the food was delicious! Personally,I eat simplistic and clean No processed, no prepackaged, gluten free, foods or sugar, If you haven't guessed I'm Paleo! We cook so much more and really enjoying it. Plus the weigh just fell off. (thumbs up)

@1LeiaPrincess lunch comes after breakfast and dinner after lunch. Most people eat lunch around 12-1 and dinner is 6ish. It really depends on the family though. I swear the older our parents get the earlier they make us come to dinner!

Because here in Greece we have lunch at around 2-3 at noon and dinner at around 10 or even later(it depends on the family, but i've never known anyone having lunch before 1.30 and dinner before 9.30)! That's why i got confused! Yeah you are right the older people get, the earlier they eat!My grandparents eat dinner at 9 and i make fun of them(cause it's considered very early here)! Interesting to realise the difference in cultures!!

if you cut out beef and pork you'd notice a big difference. Also switch milk to fat free soy milk saves fat and calories.

@tinax022 Jay Robb whey protein powder isolate is the best! There's nothing artificial in it and it tastes pretty good! The carbs are really low and 1 scoop is 24 grams of protein. It's even sweetened with stevia instead of Splenda or any of that junk. Hope this helps :-)

I LOVE Duke...I seriously do! I've always wanted a german shepherd and as soon as I have a nice place with a nice back yard I will adopt one. But Duke has really got me hooked on the "sable" colour german shepherds. He is so beautiful!

Good luck on your workout system Teresa! You should try out Zumba classes if you want to lose some weight and have fun at the same time. 2-3 times a week and you'll see a difference, it feels like a dance party and you burn from 600-1000 calories per hour :)!! i loooove it

Just wanted to let you know that you should only workout for 30-45 minutes a day otherwise the inflammatory response on your body is too much. I have chronic back pain, go to the chiro etc etc and 30 minutes is really ideal for me personally. Good luck!!

I love going to the dog park I take my 9 month old yellow lab all the time.....do you ever watch Pick a Puppy......we were the water dog episode....third episode for this season....it was fun doing it.....anyways good luck with your journey....I am also on the same regimen as you......but going to Disney this week....so have to get back on it when we return.

P90X is a very good workout routine and it includes diet and everything. Also if youre feeling low at like lunch or right after have some green tea with lemon juice in it, really boosts you up and it super good for you! Honestly, i was never a tea person but now i love it!

Try the myfitnesspal app, it counts all your calories (fat, carbs, nutrients etc), exercise and water intake and I find that by writing down your intake really makes you avoid eating excess calories that your body doesn't require. They have apps for iphone, blackberry and android phones so it's perfect for on the go as well.

The drinking more water is my goal for this year too. I have been doing the eight glasses a day since the end end-ish of Dec., and it has really made me feel better. Like surprised the heck out of my just how good I feel. It makes it easier if you track it to. So, I downloaded a free water tracker app on my IPhone, so worth it! Good luck!

MY MUM HAS LOST 28 KILOS and she goes to the gym 5 days a week aswell! and eats 5 small meals a day.her trick is eating the skinny cow ice creams aswell, because it's bad to deprive yourself of sugar and actually whilst you're on a diet you need that little bit of sugar to really make your metabolism spin fast, and the skinny moos are the healthiest way of getting that sugar boost! good luck and remember you're already at a beautiful weight and you look amazing so don't go too hard on yourself!

I'd love to hear more about the program you are using, I myself have had a FAILED back surgery, so I can sympathize, I actually lost a lot of weight 62lbs,over the last 3 months I've put on 20 pounds,I can really tell, since my pain has increased. I actually saw the doctor yesterday, and we decided I need to drop that weight, they had to increase my medication dosage due to the weight gain so this is my main reason to drop the weight ASAP as I don't like taking all of those drugs.

Yay for getting healthy! I lost 30lbs last year with the fresh meal delivery program from ediets... It was so easy and I thought the food was delicious! I'm trying to lose another 20lbs this year and would love to be weight loss buddies :) I only have the prepared meals 5days/week and used the busy girl healthy life website for recipe ideas for the other 2 days. Personally,I eat simplistic and clean No processed, no prepackaged, gluten free, foods or sugar, If you haven't guessed I'm Paleo! We cook so much more and really enjoying it. Plus the weigh just fell off. (thumbs up)

@1LeiaPrincess lunch comes after breakfast and dinner after lunch. Most people eat lunch around 12-1 and dinner is 6ish. It really depends on the family though. I swear the older our parents get the earlier they make us come to dinner!

Because here in Greece we have lunch at around 2-3 at noon and dinner at around 10 or even later(it depends on the family, but i've never known anyone having lunch before 1.30 and dinner before 9.30)! That's why i got confused! Yeah you are right the older people get, the earlier they eat!My grandparents eat dinner at 9 and i make fun of them(cause it's considered very early here)! Interesting to realise the difference in cultures!!

@juicytuesday aw I'm sorry it hurt your feelings, let me explain what i mean! when people disguise a sponsored vid whilst seemingly talking about something else it just feels like they arent making the video for the love of it or for the subbies but simply for the review but in a less obvious way. it would have been different if it was called "skinny cow review" but i felt it was sneakily being branded as something else so people would watch! hence the disappointment :(
