Do you not know how to read tabs or sheet music? Honestly sheet music is hard...I can barely read it but learning how to read tabs is a must so I would say keep practicing. With guitar thats the only way to get better fast...hope this helps!

Its a Brownsville Mag 3 and I got it online. The sound is pretty good from the Maple wood and the action( distance between the strings and the neck) is nice and low so its comfortable to play on. Um tips for a beginner...I still am one myself, Ive only been playing for less than a year lol. I would say practice every day if you can. I have been teaching myself and finding stuff online so its def doable :-) So go for it and get a guitar that feels right. GL
