  • At the Episcopal church in Marion, there is a redwood tree in the cemetery marking the corner of the plot where all the bodies of Civil War soldiers were moved to after being exhumed from behind Lovelace Hall in the late 1800s. In the 70s and 80s, you could go to the cemetery look at the redwood and another tree and it was a silhouette of a soldier at parade rest. New students didn't believe it and many didn't go back after seeing it. Even the priest there didn't want to talk about it with us.

  • we DROVE through there one night looking for that or something similar ... we were much too spooked to actually get out of the car!

  • Christy,

    You crack me up!

    Love ya,

    Cassey
