Saturn Astra Review

Should I get an Astra or a Jeep Wrangler for my first car? I know they are very different choices but these are two of my favorites.

I didn't even know these existed until the other day when I saw one on the road. I couldn't believe it was a Saturn. It was the 3 door, very good looking. It sucks that GM doesn't produce Saturns anymore.

@flatblackstrat they are generally ok, but the electricals can cause problems and they have tendancies to blow fuses to. Mostly little niggles which hopefully the new model now on sale has fixed

@parsley0120 In fact this is not a Saturn but an european car named Opel Astra ( 2004-2010 )

Can anyone tell me why some of the central displays in some Saturn Astra reviews look like this one and others look like that garish blocky text? If the trip computer looks like this I'd get an Astra but if it is blocky then forget it - the blocky text in the central display is ugly.

If anyone knows why this is the situation please let me know!

@runforit420 in europe the base spec versions get the so called 'garish blocky text' display.only cars with climate control(not A/c) or sat nav get the upgraded display...so if you want the non-garish display you should specify one(or both) of those two options...

That's too sad, you can't buy the original Opel Astra OPC or Vauxhall Astra VRX in america ? those two are the "elite" Astra. :P

If you want GM to start selling diesels here, talk to your government. Under the new Tier II Bin 5 emission regulations it's basically impossible to sell one here without expensive, mpg sapping urea emissions hardware.
