I have the japanese version, but i can't understand it, but actually i memorize which is which, but still can't find better weapons/equipment thats my problem. Still beat the game to understand japanese
I used to have this game (imported USA version) but there were some errors on it so I had to trade the game, sigh.. but then again I traded it for Final Fantasy 3
prospectx: Well, Super Mario RPG was deveoped by Squaresoft and published by Nintendo. I guess someone thought it'd be a cool idea for them to use the main FF theme for the post-battle dialogue with Culex (not shown in this video), the FF2 boss theme for the Culex battle, and the FF victory music for the victory theme for the culex battle. :D
Well, I strongly suggest you play this SNES jewel (at least on an emulator). All I can say about the story is that Mario's old rescue-Peach-from-Bowser routine has been interrupted by an invasion "out of this world". The Battle system is fair, and you'll love it the first time you play it.

LOL in Japan Bowser's winning pose is him giving up the finger. In America he just smiles and does a victory pose.

Dang it, Ted Woolsey... This boss should be named "Crystaller" in English.

And what's wrong with Culex? Culex certainly sounds cooler than Crystaller to me :/
ChronoSquare 4 years ago
I agree with ChronoSqare here. Culex sounds much cooler. Crystaller just sounds too generic and redundant. Culex actually sounds kinda mysterious.

Bowser is on Mario side because he needs help getting his castle back from Smithy. So Mario supposely "joins" the Koopa troop.
