@museilikooo It will be fine, it'll just sound a bit different then the song. I have a genuine Les Paul, and it still doesn't sound like Jimmy Page's sound, its real hard to get.
@xXXPrinceAlbertXXx Well, I'm guessing he's using the 1987X considering the red light is on and there is a cable going into it XD. The main difference is that the 1987X is more of a classic plexi type of amp and I can't see what his other one is so I am unable to tell you but I will say that it looks like more of a modern design (JMD type of thing.) :D
@xXXPrinceAlbertXXx All the stuff about the 1987X is correct, it's a plexi-reissue. The other amp is a TSL-60, which I don't have anymore. It broke, and I didn't really like it all that much. It tries to do too many things at once and isn't great at any of them in particular. So now I have the 1987X for all my classic rock stuff, and an ENGL fireball for a more modern voiced metal amp.
@neosonic66 ok that's cool ^^ I've read a review on hot plates by a gutiar tech, saying that they were cool, but shortened condensators and tubes lives
@mouloudo thinking back on this issue... I would guess that tube life would be shortened only because you'd tend to play fully cranked with a hotplate. Without the hotplate, you'd probably be playing at much lower amp volumes, so I would think that the reason tube life seems shorter with the hotplate is because you'll crank it for longer periods of time, thus it's not the hotplate itself, but a byproduct of using one... just a guess
lucky bastard has that Marshall JTM-45. (reissue im sure) Thats where that sound is comin from ladies and gents. Gibsons are wonderful, and give great sound,...my opinon, JP shoulda used those instead of the 1959SLPs and the crap Ricken(broke)rs but im not jimmy. nice cover though man, enjoyed it. Ill take your other marshall head off your hands if youre not usin it haha
dude could you get tabs for us ignorant people lol i love playing guitar i just bought a line 6 amp and id love to play this more corectly and your version rocks
hey Neo I got a question... I know there are solid state combo amps... do they make valve combo amps or they just amp heads and ya gotta get a cabinet??
Gents, sorry I've been gone for so long! I've been away for the last 6 months, so I apologize for not attending to the hundreds of comments and questions you've shot my way in the last few months
hey dude, what can i do for play this fuckin solo????? i know the intro and just a i need how to play the solo , do you some tablature for this solo live. ??
Like the soul you put into it but dont look into the camera next time, i think its kinda cheesy but if its a habit or something it diesnt matter, nice playing
Very good, you are a brave man to kane your amp at that volume. You are quite stiff and lack the page style and feel of playing but that comes with conifidence and time, you certainly know about his equipment and how to create the tone though.
Great job man! Playing and sound are fantastic. Do you think you could get a similar sound out of a tele or strat cause im thinking of getting one eventually.
well played sir, 10n times better than i can do, but you do look piss board.

pronghorn50 2 years ago
1987X 50 watt plexi reissue, not the JTM-45, but yes, that amp is responsible for the spot-on tone, despite some not so spot-on playing :)

We have a Zeppelin cover band here(Australia) called "The Zep Boys" and they always get packed out.
