Gold bluffs way too often and this in turns has cause him to loose any creditbilities of his hand when hes in a hand. whenever he tries to pull off a bluff he is very likely to get call, because that no one ever believes he has a hand. its also interesting to note that other said because he bluffs so much he will win big when he does have something. but bear in mind that the amount of time he gets called bluffing are way more higher than he acutally hit a hand and win big = lose money
Jamie gold won the main event because he did the one thing no one expected him to do, HE TOLD THE TRUETH!!! When he had his opponents dominate he said, "I kind of have you dominated here, you probably want to fold," and when he was beat he said, "you got me beat call me." Every on of his opponents did the opposite of what he said. No one trusts the word of a poker player and he had everyone on tilt because he told the truth, Genius!
@theyear2102 I haven't seen him do much in the last 4 years so I would say he got quite lucky.. the problem is you can go all in with the worst hand against pocket aces and be a 5% chance of winning the hand, but win. All comes down to luck.

Jamie's mouthing off pretty smart at the end here. When he asks Wasika if he has the queen then says I got you if you don't, he's both suggesting that he has a pair of 8's while at the same time telling the truth that he's got him. When Wasicka put him on a draw or on Jamies mouth of two 8's Wasicka thought his 10's were best and called it.
It's just the way he tells the truth while lying. Hard to read. Jamie's done better recently, but I do agree that he did pretty poorly at the start.
jamie did get incredibly lucky in countless hands but he definitely is a skilled player. he calls out negraenu's exact hand and makes some awesome plays and laydowns in high stakes, even though he gets in some really unlucky situations

"especially what suit" suit is actually the easiest thing to call out because of the possible flush draw, theres no other way to call out the suit (being based on some fact you can read from the board)

Yeah, he never said he called or all in. Just read an issue of Bluff, where he knew what happened, but didn't wanna speak up. People don't like Gold because of the way he handled himself, but he did win out of thousands of people so luck will come in. oh well, it's over.

I think jammmie was so lucky to win the main tournament, but I respect him about how he dealed so good against hard pressure on him at main tournamnet. I played tournament a lot on line, every time it's more than 4 hours from start, I get tired not only physically,also mentally.

Jamie's mouthing off pretty smart at the end here. When he asks Wasika if he has the queen then says I got you if you don't, he's both suggesting that he has a pair of 8's while at the same time telling the truth that he's got him. When Wasicka put him on a draw or on Jamies mouth of two 8's Wasicka thought his 10's were best and called it.
It's just the way he tells the truth while lying. Hard to read. Jamie's done better recently, but I do agree that he did pretty poorly at the start.

jamie did get incredibly lucky in countless hands but he definitely is a skilled player. he calls out negraenu's exact hand and makes some awesome plays and laydowns in high stakes, even though he gets in some really unlucky situations

huh when did he make a truly awesome lay down..calling someones hand out isnt the touhest thing in the world.. its following up on that is whats so hard.. the skill gold has its balls.. he has the nerve to keep firing away and applying pressure which not everyone can do but he hasnt done that at HSP

watch more high stakes and you'll see more good lay downs. Calling out hands is easy but not against Daniel Negraenu and especially what suit.

i do mate..watched all seasons. im not saying he is crap but at the same time not in the calibre of winning a wsop bracelet..for eg moneymaker and raymer i think are much better and there was critism laid at them. His strength is applying presure like i stated before but he doesnt make great laydowns. doesnt also help when he is a bit of a jerk

i just have a hard time seeing how you can defend moneymaker but not gold. he dominated chan but 3 outed ivey (he couldnt get away)and 2 outed humberto (terrible call). i guess im saying moneymaker got pretty lucky too (not as consistently as gold of course). what is gold supposed to do with an emormous lead like that? i like both players. moneymaker's play on farha was awesome. raymer also got lucky on matusow but i'd say he played the best of the 3

"especially what suit" suit is actually the easiest thing to call out because of the possible flush draw, theres no other way to call out the suit (being based on some fact you can read from the board)

gold is so easy to read at 3:30 he said if your wrong its pretty much over? that pretty much tells u he has nothing.And i agree with everybody else it was really obvious that he had a queen he got extreamly lucky throughout the tournament but when was the last pro to win the wsop was it carlos mortensen in 2001. ?

wasicka should have called some hands before with his open end straight flush draw. so he didnt have a real chance. this call with pocket 10s was definetly not wrong. gold could have had a flush draw, an open end, ace 8 or something

Yeah, he never said he called or all in. Just read an issue of Bluff, where he knew what happened, but didn't wanna speak up. People don't like Gold because of the way he handled himself, but he did win out of thousands of people so luck will come in. oh well, it's over.

I think people who have absolutely no idea about what poker is, just should stop posting comments like "I hate him because of blahblah, and.. he's such a coc*****er, he can't play he is just lucky" these people say that because they haven't accomplished any aims in their lives, and are just envy of people who had. By the way, You might have a chance that You can play poker as well. That's my opinion.

I think jammmie was so lucky to win the main tournament, but I respect him about how he dealed so good against hard pressure on him at main tournamnet. I played tournament a lot on line, every time it's more than 4 hours from start, I get tired not only physically,also mentally.

Paul Wasicka said he never technically called but as he said "alright you got me" he grabbed his cards and began standing up, just half a second before Gold turned over his. He was definately gonna call in my opinion.
