I found this video after searching- "rey mysterio's first match" and i know this is not his first match but can anyone maybe find some old footage because i was all ways a big rey mysterio fan but a wwe mark I am not! the last "new" video i watched of rey was cm punk interrupting the crowd singing happy b-day to his daughter, But i remember a similar storyline with his family involving the late great Eddie Guerrero. Sin Cara is much more younger then Rey and has better high flying skills then the current Rey Mysterio. If you take prime Mysterio against Sin Cara, it would be easily be Rey as the winner. But in no way will Rey win in high flying contest in his current form...

@kolizar666 this was rey's debut in Japan. He was brought there by ultimo Dragon . Ultimo Dragon used to wrestle in mexico for lucha libre style, so in return he invited rey and psychosis to wrestle in Japan for the first time.This was like his introduction match to the japanese fans. Rey was really nervous as the promoter had no faith in him until he wrestled. Psychosis was the right opponent for Rey as they both went to the same wrestling school and they got the chemistry pretty well.

I love how Japanese wrestling focuses on the match at hand with minimal distractions from annoying BBQ selling commentators (take a guess...). The ringside atmosphere gives the viewer the feeling that they are actually watching the match. Impressive work.

Well idk this is a great match buuttt...it's not very fast paced, all rey does is an arm drag reversal, modified snapmare, and a bunch of different hurricarana variations, but a few good spots and something similiar to shoot wrestling and this is a great match, even though pyschosis did most of the technical work..

Two great pros, perfectly choreographed fight and the crowd knows it. Wonderful, flawless match! 3rd rope Asai Moonsault... Wow! And talking about the Asai Moonsault, Ultimo Dragon ( Yoshihiro Asai ) was right there at the end congratulating Mysterio! Three great wrestlers just right there, Mysterio, Psychosis and Ultimo Dragon! Three pros who did their best during their entire career! Very intense match and I guess we can owe this to the japanese crew and audience too.

I disagree. The guys WCW brought in where definitely the cream of the crop. I watch AAA these days and they seem to all have ADD. They work the crowd for 30 minutes and wrestle for about 5 mins, hit a few spotty moves, and call it a night. Could just be the cultural requests/differences in Mexico for wrestling, but I gave it a chance and it was pretty boring for the most part. Mistico works well with the right opponent; but his match with Tiger Mask proves he needs the right opponent.
