  • Excellent cover Marcello. Nice job :D

  • really nice cover ;)

  • For a very tricky song, not a bad attempt at all. Nice one....

  • Marcello my friend you are just great. You have not only played the song note for note but sound so magically close to Ian Anderson, Great Job mate :))

  • @ramgulwady Thank you very much my friend. Look I'd like that you check out my video about thick as a brick whereby I try to teach the introduction of this song. Please when you have time look my video the is : Video lesson of thick as a brick's introduction.

    with kind regards

  • Sounds Like Ian Anderson, Very Good Job, on a favorite song on mine, that I NEVER hear. You just need a string quartet.

  • @sdgardner1954 thanks a bunch.

  • Man, you're fantastic... I love this song and you played like Ian Anderson plays... and your voice... dude, congratulations

  • @thiaraujo87 thanks a bunch.

  • good job

  • I agree, you have a very similar timbre and nice intonation. You even have the Ian dipthong happening :)

  • really excellent version of this gem of a song!

  • lindo

  • Wow. Without the video (and with a few more instruments...) I might think it's Ian Anderson singing!

  • Wow! thank you very much!

  • Have you ever considered doing a full-blown JT tribute band?

  • Yes I have. However my job doesn't allow myself, I'm always traveling so much, I don't have time to make a JT tribute band, but...It is my big dream. I think that the most difficult is to meet a flute player that sound it as Ian, isn't it? Some years ago, I played the reasons for waiting'song with Avatar brasilian band an the flute player is the most player cover that there is. Please look the user bandaavatar in youtube and search the bourée song.

  • Most excellent!

  • Beautiful rendition. I tried to figure out how to play this years ago. I'm not good enough to figure a lot of this out, even with your video. Do have the tab for this? If not, can you tell me the fingering for the chord immediately after the XX0235 chord? I always though it was Am 577555, but you play something that sounds better.

  • Thanks for your comment. Well if I understood the chord after XX0235 is X00X215.

  • one of my favorite Tull songs along with Pied Piper, please tell me where to find the Tabs for this??????

  • This is great, Marcelo.

Do you by any chance have tablature for this song? I can pick up most of it here just by watching you, but some of the fills between chords are tougher to decipher.

    Great work.

  • Caramba cara!! Sou fã alucinado de Jethro! Você tá de parabéns² cara!!

Dica: Segue o metrônomo. O começo é perfeito mas depois você acelera! Mas cara... falando sério! Parabéns mesmo!

    FLW

  • Awesome dude.. I'm not kidding

  • thank you very much

  • nice job! vocals sound a lot like ian!

so could u tell me where i can find tablature or chords for this song please

  • Thanks for your words. I've sent in your mail box.

  • Nice

  • Wow. Nice Work.

When I first opened this I though "Oh wow. Some guy playing the guitar and singing. It'll have todo though I guess..." But you really impressed me. I suggest finding a coffee house or something to play at evry once and a while. The only thing that's missing is the other instruments. Very Nice work man. 5 Stars =]

    God Bless

  • very excellent rendition

2 thumbs up, 5 stars etc

  • Thanks my friend

  • I was 7... and my uncle introduced me with "Stand Up".

He introduced me also to Zappa's music, with "Absolutely Free". I'll be always grateful to him!!

    Thanks for this great version!

  • Great job...I thought I was the only one who appreciated this song! Has anyone tried Jackalynn ??

  • I remember this being on the flip side of the MITG 45 I bought back in '75. Heck dude you even sound a bit like Ian's vocals. Good work.
