good stuff man.. ive been searching everywhere to find out what year my fender newporter is. i know its between 1965 - 1971 cause it was made in santa ana california. i want the exact year thou. if u have any info on how to get the exact year that would be cool.. ive googled almost everything on the guitar. only number i have on guitar is on back plate
@vintagestratplayer thanks for the compliment, thanks for listening. im playing my first guitar there, an sx, which has been all over the place but i still love it. Newporter wins hands down tho overall!! you certainly know your fenders! Checked some of your other vids and your band mainline.... excellent blues stuff, youve got great feel man....
have one of these at home, well its not mine its me dads, but we took it to get fixed up refretted and all. its a korean one so was early eighties and we never knew! almost vintage i guess. The most beautiful acoustic ive ever played in my life!!!! keep playing, as you prob know they are brilliant for playing lead too!
@MrSkeff This 1 is made in Santa Ana California. I have not played a 80s Korean Newporter. I have a few older Fender acoustics and they were not popular in late 60s but seem to be sought after now. I just posted a 1964 Fender Palomino acoustic
@vintagestratplayer well i havent played the american ones but if the korean is anything to go by id say theyre fantastic. Id love one of the sixties ones. Thanks ill check that video out and shall subscribe. Ill be putting up a video with the korean newporter
greaaaaat licks ! great player ! i agree with SalandFindles ! strings are tired ! and maybe the guitar isn't tunned enought !!! but you play great. 5 stars
It needs new strings, but you're a great player. You should put new strings on it and post a new video like this one and show more of the guitar. let me know when you do.
