I am hoping both of my boys will join the tradition, while my girl wants to be either a doc or vet. God bless us and God Bless the two brave Chicago FF's that gave their lives yesterday.

@HopeAnddFaith Sorry to hear about your father. I am a firefighter and I have three children of my own, I would hate to think of the day I don't return from a call, but I could only hope they would have the same memory of me as you do of your father. I tell my boys that firefighters are the noblest and bravest of the brave. Their #1 mission is to help people, even if that means risking their own. I have found that you can't teach that type of courage, either you have it or u dont.

When I was little I would watch this movie almost every day, my dad was a firefighter, and now i am following in his footsteps, i am a lieutenant on an engine co. stay safe all my brothers and sisters!
