  • sorry, 380 hp duke engines.

  • beech baron 58 has twin io520 engines

  • @rurmundo not all barons have the IO-520s. this one has duke engines which i believe are lycoming TIO-541s, turbocharged with 420hp.

  • rboyes55 THE 56TC THAT I FLY HAS TREMENDOUS TAKEOFF ACCELERATION. IT IS MUCH LIGHTER THAN THE DUKE AND BY THE TIME THE THROTTLES REACH 41 INCHES , THE AIRPLANE IS READY TO CLIMB LIKE A ROCKET!

  • This is a very rare 56TC Baron. Uses the same 380-hp Lycomings as the Duke. Unfortunately, like the Duke, not much of that 760 total hp makes it to the prop and runway performance is lousy.

  • Yeah, I had to look at this vid a few times as I was trying to discern whether this was an A,B 55 or a C, D, E 55...then I noticed how large the nacelles were...

  • @OldBoatDriver some barons use Continental/Teledyne engines

  • @EnsiferumFan91 I believe all barons use Continental engines except for the rare 56TC model.

  • @weswing04 barons use Continental/Teledyne IO-470s, IO520s, Lycoming TIO-541s, IO-550s, 56tc use turbocharged Continental TIO-520s, 58s use Continental TSIO-520-520-WE turbocharged engines. I researched it to find out

  • I swear the Baron is the best sounding light twin out there. Nice video.

  • damn that sounds good. SOunds better that the 182 I fly.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
