I agree with sideshowcarny, some of the (IMHO) best films are from the 70's: The Wicker Man, Get Carter, Badlands, A Clockwork Orange, The Taking of Pelham 123, The Life of Brian, Star Wars, Young Frankenstein, Murder By Death, The Vault of Horror, Frenzy, Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, All the President's Men, Alien, Apocalypse Now, Sleuth, Catch22, etc.. In general I personally prefer 70's films to 80', and especially 90's and 00's films.

My brother and I realized the camp value of this movie even as kids. We always thought the noise the pirahnas made when they were in a frenzy was pretty funny since, well, I don't think fish make much vocal noise, as a rule. LOL Anyway, was fun to "attack" people at the pool pretending our hands were these evil fish! We still laugh about it today...Good times!!

Pretty sure. On the DVD commentary, Joe Dante says how Roger Corman remade it for TV but all the footage of the piranha were taken from the original and then they just redid all the dialouge and such. It apparently wasn't very good. Now they're remaking it for the big screen, which I'm frankly not very pleased with.
