I figured out when you play this song listening to it on an opod it helps i can play it just the cords all sound the same and i hate it, could it possibly have anything to do with the fact that i am too lazy to tune it

i am a beginner and i have posted a lot of comments but i am determined to know this song by april, i have a black and white silvertone guitar and amp, but i tried playing and as i said earlier i go from A and D on 8 and 10 to A and D on 4 and 6 then to 11 and 13 and then the last but i forgot the frets abut it all sounds the smae except the last thing. any advice on how to change it to different sounds, i am saving up for another guitar a nicer one, gibson SG

notice that he has his middle finger and pinkie on the strings thats what u do in the beginning of the song but once u get in about 30 seconds u only do the chord with ur index and ur ring finger so ur just removing ur pinkie and middle finger and yeah and also for those who like the songs 21 guns also by greenday the silent beginning part is 1st fret first string (only hit each string once)2nd string 3rd fret then 1st string 5 fret then 2nd string 5 fret pretty easy sounds better on acoutstic
