  • I am not sure which one to go with the one with spf or the one without. cause I like to still get some color from the sun in the spring and summer. This is pricey but works great.

  • @AngeLEyes8100 An SPF only protects you from UV rays. It does not prevent you from getting any tanner, so no worries :)

  • @goingtobednow lol. then don't watch it. no one is forcing you.

  • Aloe vera gel with lavender is so much better..AND natural.

  • on sephora site it says it is 99.9% oil-free...

  • i wish i could love hope in a jar. but everytime i use it i almost have to puke because of the smell. this smells like a wet dog or something and i just cannot stand the smell on my face.

  • I totally understand how some people could be bothered by its strong scent, but it never really bothered me for some reason :p

  • It smells like some hair dye products.

  • haha does it really? smells more like peppermint

  • However, A Hope In A Jar never made me break out, its one of the few moisturzers out there that did not do that. If you have acne problems i think this would work out for you plus it has spf 20, so i think you would like this. It makes your skin really hydrated moisturized soft(adds a little bit of shine and grease tho), but do bear in mind that it may not work out for you as it did with me.

  • Hello monteCrystall, everyone has different skin types and different reactions to chemicals that touch their skin (factors that play a part in this is environment, stress, nutrition -you've named them :P) . I know for sure that I have very sensitive skin and break out really easily, so i am very careful with cosmetics and makeup.

  • I just recently started growing pimples on my forehead and brow area.

I've been using Laura Mercier's Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 15 for a year now and it never made my skin oily or make it break out in the past. Maybe it's just environmental factors or stress...

But my point is...do you have any suggestions for a moisturizer with a higher spf (spf 15 seems a little minimal) that won't leave my skin oily or make me break out?

    Thank youus!
