dude the sg is actually made for stage use for its "resemblence" in sound to the les paul

Its like 4 pounds lighter and lets you acess upper frets easier

Personally i think they sound like garbage and i deal with a sore shoulder for the les paul

but it all depends on personal taste just like danophile said
