I never really did like the whole Uhura Spock love interest. It seemed so uncharacteristic of Spock to show emotion at that level. Also before the destruction of Vulcan (Which I absolutely hated) Spock was married until he got a divorce in Amok Time during the pon farr. I would have liked to see Uhura flirt with Spock trying to get some emotional response that Nichelle Nichols did so well in TOS. Then again I'm just some old school trekkie other than that some other things i did enjoy the film.

I LOVE this movie. Saw it when it was in the cinema and thought it was great, bought the DVD a few days ago and I've watched it twice since then. Good job with this, I thought it was great how Spock and Uhura were together. Made a nice change from the usual "cocky but nice guy eventually charms the girl" storyline.

Exactly what I think! :D I'm so tired of only seeing the slightly arrogant/rebellous hero get the girl while the characters I find a lot more interesting always end up alone. At first, I was so sure that Uhura was gonna fall for Kirk in the end as it usually happens in that kind of movies. I was happily surprised that Spock got more chance this time!

It's Sony Vegas, it's not that hard, once you get used to it =D I prefer it to Final Cut, which sucks =P It depends on how easy you find software and if you are a quick learner.

Well as a communications officer, she stayed on the ship, there was really no reason for her to engage in action scenes, it would have been very far-fetched. It's not like needed someone to beam to the planet and fight bad guys with their linguistic skills. McCoy, Chekov and Scotty were also just the ship doing their jobs.

I'm an old dude. In the 60's there was a comic called TV21 based around Gerry Anderson puppets. Centre pages was Star Trek. I didn't get it but vividly remember trailer for launch of TV series. Connected. Had to see it. I was 4 1/2. ST has been a companion since.

Was worried movie would blow it but it didn't. It's great. Your vid adds to it. :-)

Hopefully YouTube will read the comments here and let this stay up. I frankly doubt it spoils anything (I've seen the film 4 times now and I haven't spoiled it for myself) and one rewatching your video I doubt it infringes copyrights either.

I personally think the point of YouTube is for people like yourself who have the talent to do this kind of thing. You should be encouraged and YouTube should keep it up.

YouTube is ripping many of these things down and broadky speaking they are right to do so (copyrights aside the film mustn't be spoilt for those who haven't seen it). That said, this is excellent.

I've seen a few Spock/Uhura pieces posted here and all have been good. The idea has clearly caught the imagination of some talented people - which means you, and others who have had similar removed from here.

A year from now Paramount should let this kind of thing remain,
