@x1c3x lol u are really stupid ^^,3d camera tracking is a term that we,animators use when we want to add a 3d object to a video that we track media thos points u see there and some programs lol
as it says in the description; i used 3ds max, vray, PF track and Sony Vegas. The object doesn't exists it is a 3d modem, PF track is used to track reference points in a 2d video (Hence the paper with the dots) and then exported into a 3d software (3ds max), all you do is animate the object(character), illuminate the scene and render with Vray, and finally put them all together in Sony vegas for a final composition, and you're done.
@MrFortain I took the video with a microsoft webcam, after that i imported the video to PFtrack. Using the dots in the paper sheet as reference for focal lenght and dimmensions i tracked the reference points and exported them to 3ds max, i created the object in 3ds max and animated it, after hours of tweaking lighting and texturing i rendered theanimated object as a transparent secuence of images. I imported the video in sony vegas for final editing and compositing. And that's it.
How do I export the materials in 3D's Max? When I import the .3DS or .Obj file in Photoshop I got the object without any textures. I can export the materials in a .mtl file but I don't know how to open it. Please help!
@danstickman1 Ok, if you are using Vray you should use VrayMtlWrapper, use a basic standard material or something else depending on thesurface you need. Here are the settings: Matte surface "checked", Alpha contribution -1.0, shadows checked. After that just play with the values to get the results you want.
On your new material select your HDRI map and adjust it to match your scene's natural light. After that drag/copy your HDRImap from your material editor to your skylight map slot.
Depending you your scene adjust the lights to match your scene.
Usually (for me) the lights shouldn't have a multiplier over .5
Just play around with your settings. With this should be easier to achieve the results you want.

Those points that you used for your tracking...they must be big and well seen for pftrack to give good result?

@izvarzone it's not necesary, although it is better if your frames are not interlaced.

couldn't you, if you wanted to hide the tracking dots, make a plane that would cover the paper and make it white (or whatever you want)

lby the way you need to apply these materials to the background geometry of your scene.

hi can you put the vray and the lighting configuration please i relly need it
MaTriX003HaCkeR 2 years ago
Turn off default lights.
Turn on global ilumination.
Set irradiance map to medium.
Set enviroment on (both skylight and reflection). set reflection multiplier to1.5
Set skylight color to a light gray
Set reflection to pure white.
Click on the reflection map slot and pick VrayHRDI map from the list.
Open your material editor and drag/copy the newly created Vray HDRI map to an empty slot. and select "instance".
vulad 2 years ago
On your new material select your HDRI map and adjust it to match your scene's natural light. After that drag/copy your HDRImap from your material editor to your skylight map slot.
