@MrPrazil 'Substrate' is essential in planted set-ups. It would be like trying to plant an outside plant or tree without soil. Ideally a special planted substrate that contains nutrients is recommended for planted aquariums. This will allow you just to fert the water and not worry about nasty things like root tablets etc.
@MrRawrllyX let me see, aquarium and stand £499, T5 tubes at a cost of £90 for the controller and £50 for the two tubes, replaced the Juwel tubes with zoomed plant tubes at a cost of £25, added an eheim external £90, vecton UV steriliser £99, ADA glass lilly pipe and intake £65, clear PVC hose £6, Co2 bottle £80, glass co2 diffuser £20, solenoid £55, brass regulator £60, medical needle valve £20,non return valve £20. Plants £150+, substrate £50, rocks/wood £59 . Total £1438 OUCH
@monkynutzuk I've kept both with little problems. Glosso is supposedly a difficult plant to grow yet I have never had any problems, as long as you have good nutrients, strong light and plenty of stable CO2 . Hemainthus sp. I think is a prettier plant, with smaller leaves and lighter colour. It all depends what sort of look your after!
@GEOPAIH1234 thanks dude! ive got 4 x 39watte t5's and plenty of co2. im still trying to decide although i like the idea of having dence lush glosso as it gets alittle taller. what one would you say grows quicker? or carpets easier? thanks again dude for replying \m/
this is tight but wat suck is that all little fish tanks are easier to decorate then big one ones i need help with decorating mine any suggestions i have a video of it
I use eco complete and a special substrate exclusive to my LFS called eco-plant-life (pm me for details). I have had excellent results using these products.
Whenever the AGA or ADA contests come up my aquariums always seem to be in a transitional period! I should try and time it right next time. Its currently voted #2 worldwide on ratemyfishtank
you probably already do and dont even know it. if you have windows, it comes pre installed with "windows movie maker" where you can easily make and edit videos.
thats 190 liter? it doesnt look like a 109 liter. but its really cool. i have a tank with about 6 fish and im about to put some real plants in there to make it look better.
Only a jelouse hater would dis like this! Your tank is awesome! Hope we can have tanks in heaven.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
it doesnt deserve to be #2,,,,
how the fcuk is it #2?!
ratemyfishtank is bullshit.
there is no art or design in this tank.
You have just simply grown plants in a box.

LOL. Lets see what you can do, only then can you comment on my artwork.
