Nope, EyeToy is 2D (or 2.5D if you consider some basic ways of implementing 3D) whereas Natal is fully 3D.

The PS eye can do 3D tracking. The PS Eye is "fully 3D" too.

Any 3D tracking you've seen is by the kind of methods I discussed earlier or it's tracking the ball at the end of the wand (which is 3D due to known shape and size). In contrast, Natal has an InfraRed 3D camera which creates a 3D map of everything in front of the camera in realtime.

I'm not sure you know what Project Natal is. It is way way more revolutionary than the wii motion detector. This tracks your bodily movements and remembers them with an infrared sensor. This is the stuff of the future. Not the crappy Wiimote thing.

Why must Microsoft copy The Wii, I know it works differently and if it got some support from big 360 developers then it could really add something to gaming in general but this demkonstration video has Wii written all over it. Wii commercials are beyond fake and are the reason why hardcore gamers usually stay away form the Wii. If Microsoft wants this to succeed at their demografic then they need a different video.

But it makes me sick, somewhere in the principles of marketing it must say something about loyal consumers getting sick not being a good thing. But I know what you mean, I tolerate the Avatars because the squeeky teens attracted to them will help the 360 which means more games which means I won't have to buy a new console any time soon.
